Well, the game went exactly as I thought it would. Better coaching, better talent, better product on the field. MSU is a better program, from top to bottom, than the Huskers. I'm not angry or disappointed because this game went exactly how I thought it would. I was told otherwise, but I was right, as expected.

If I had to say what is the one thing that really did bother me, it would be that the utterly worthless offensive line killed AA's chances of winning a Heisman. The defense did what it could, but when MSU hands so many opportunities to the offense and they disgrace themselves so badly, there is no chance of winning.

Take a bow boys on the offensive line, you cost a great football player his chance of winning an award that he has worked so hard to achieve. Maybe you should consider not standing around watching the ball carriers get murdered next time you strap on the uniform? You disgrace the tradition, and the uniform.

As far as Tommy Armstrong, what an awful game. You are not the future and I hope to God someone else is ready to step up.

I have to agree....the better team did win tonight. Did the better program? I'll have to think on that one.

We can forget about the playoffs, as that ship has sailed imo, but things can be accomplished. And I think they better be. The limelight hasn't been kind to us for a long, long time. We better start giving some better performances under it pretty soon, or it will quit shinning on us altogether. We have the Minnesota's and Iowa's and a few others to carry the "average banner" for the BIG. We need to step up and be special......and yes, as Korn said...."It's time".

NU can still get to the conference championship. I watched the game with a Wisky fan who admits he has more to worry about than me right now. Win the Division and play for a Title is a good goal for the program right now. Playoffs was a dream not worth believing for another few years. They got beat by a better team. Learn and improve and maybe get another chance in December. GBR.

Hate to burst any balloons but that game wasnt as close as the score indicates however if Westy doesnt drop that pass, Ameer doesnt fumble and we dont go for two points twice, we win or at the very worst end up in OT.

After this game, another blunder, another road loss against a ranked team. While the season is not lost the reality is every game here on out has the makings of what I witnessed tonight. I thought we had the horses, I felt confident we would come in there and play a good game. I see my prognostication was wrong, AGAIN.

The sky is falling, the season is over!

The season isn't over, and it's never over until the last game is played. I just think we can all agree that want more out of this team.

Does anyone remember how the MSU possession ended after they got the ball on that incomplete/fumble fiasco? My memory is terrible for that kind of thing, but the guy hit Tommy not the ball and the ball ended up going maybe 10 yards upfield in the direction TA is trying to throw. If he is hit and gets separated from the ball it probably drops to the ground. It went upfield, because his arm was going forward. The force of the hit was coming from a different direction, so that isn't what caused the ball to head upfield. At the time, I thought just another chance for MSU and the final score will just be worse. But, if that was where MSU scored on the reverse, that was a big play/missed call right there. Coulda been 7 less points we needed in the comeback.

It really kind of bothers me how multiple players/people associated with the team discussed meeting Michigan State again. The last 1/2 quarter of the game was a great fight, yes....but there's a lot of football to be played, and a ton of deficiencies that were masked by level of competition got unearthed tonight.

Field goal.

Some bad, and missed, calls all the way around last night. The refs weren't the reason we lost, but yeah, some calls or no calls made a difference.

And, if the Offense would have showed up ready for the fight in round one, they might not be talking about needing to win a rematch......I know that we want the team to remain focused on goals, and it still is very possible to make it the Big10 championship game, but they have too much to work on to be penciling themselves in..... If we don't get better OL play, and TA doesn't learn to set his feet and read Defenses, we have more losses coming......

Bad calls, fumbles sure, but Nebraska was whipped physically and was lucky that the MSU secondary dropped a lot of errant passes. Most times Armstrong's passes fell short of the mark. Those are difficult to catch or intercept.

This was one time Beck stayed with the run too long. Eight in the box on both first and second downs the first half. Maybe could of used a passer. I watched uncovered receivers waving more than once for the ball, only to see the quarterback dial in on a covered receiver. Deja vu....

When it's analyzed and broke down to the lowest denominator the best team won. The 5-0 team exposed for their weaknesses and expectations fall a goal or two. Good sure, great not so much. What we needed back in the Solich years was a passer to compliment the rushing game. The spread didn't fool MSU. Deja vu, all over again.

great analysis Korn. The more physical team won this game. Plain and simple, our O-line was completely manhandled and TA did not appear to be the savior many predicted him to be. Our defense played a great game IMO. Oh well, maybe we will get another shot at them at the end of the season, but it certainly won't be to land a spot in the playoff.

People need to stop focusing on trying to make the playoffs. We need to win a conference title first. We need to get over that hump first.
