can it be considered distribution if it is given back to the owner?
Thats the thing in this, she knows all about it.
If she was innocent, the other two would be behind bars.
Of that, theres no doubt.
The fact she was complicit,or in san fran they really really really dropped the ball on this, which is still statutorily available to be done, shows she was complicit.
She could have just deleted it.

So, go get every kid from that high school, go to other high schools, all of them, start getting digital addresses, anounce each and every one of them, deny them all any type of scholarship to any university?
We are talking tens of thousands, which a good number are scholarship pupils.
So, lets trash this generation, and everyone else coming up?
Just trying not to single this out

Its called a web for a reason
I would be surprised if the number is anywhere near that high. As I've said before, my big problem is with the maliciousness of it (IF Mo is guilty). Sending the video to another phone number so that he could send it to Taylor, along with the accompanying text "Remember this, hoe". Will not make me proud to see Mo on the sidelines any time soon. Remember what is etched on the wall of Memorial Stadium:

Not the victory but the action, not the goal but the game, in the deed the glory." ...

There was no glory in any of his actions, IF Mo actually did these things. Sorry, but that is just how I feel. Whoever did this committed a despicable act. Where is my .gif of Daffy Duck?

I get that, and his one charge of doing that is part of that.
We dont even have her words, only mommas on the conversation it self, in what context it was done etc.

What Im saying is, her getting ahold of him is on her, period.
What happened on that tape also affected him, period.
Do we or anyone have full texts of the latest conversation?
Why was mom seemed to be right there?
She intercepted the vid.
Is she not 18 now? Why mom? Who hangs next to someone calling someone?
Who grabs their phone?
Pretty chummy?
Theres a whole lotta weirdness going on

Yes, there is indeed a whole lot of weirdness going on.
I agree that her contacting him was another example of her "judgment errors". I have wondered why she thought she needed to congrat 2-3 years afterwards.

Another reason I question her judgment errors still goes back to getting in the car with those 2 guys. Have you done an urban dictionary on "Jack In The Box"? I finally had a chance to do that today. It didn't mean exactly what I thought it would but when I first read that she thought they were going to that restaurant I just had a feeling that they were not talking fast food joint. Should she have known that? Did she know that and thought this was a joke? Many, many questions that we will probably never know the answer to.

Still, a very vindictive act on Mo's part, IF he did as accused. I go back to what is written on Memorial Stadium:

Not the victory but the action, not the goal but the game, in the deed the glory." ...

No glory in his actions. The entire situation just does not leave me with a warm and fuzzy feeling.

We have a pretty good stable of RB's after this recruiting cycle. Why do we need to taint things?

I'm sure lots of kids get hold of video's they shouldn't but to go to the extreme (sending the video to another phone, as the story is now being told), just to get back at this young woman just sends off warning bells. It is beyond vindictive (IF true) and not deserving of the honor and privilege of playing football for UNL.

The mom told her to not look at the vid.
They were either sharing the phone in the conversation, or she took it away from her daughter.
Theres a problem right there, either she didnt trust her daughters decisions because she, the daughter, was doing bad things, or, the mom knew she had a daughter she needs to protect 24/7.

She got kicked out of that school, doesnt sound like the school was trying to protect her, and can point to her reasoning and choices.
If she hadnt a clue, she wouldnt have been kicked out.
Then, you have mom, three years later side by side with her, holding her phone, then calling the newspapers?

The fact that Mo referred to the woman as a hoe was insensitive. Maybe true, but insensitive. Maybe a year in prison will help him with his lack sensitivity.

Being called a garden implement ... good thing he did not call her a rake, or worse a garden weasel...

Honor and a privilege to play football at UNL. Negative publicity to all of the above. Actions have consequences.

I think your decision about consequences exceeds the crime.

There are so many others with real guilt in this incident and none of them are being called out.

Your sympathies and empathy are with the girl. Yes, the original incident did occur when she was 15. But she is now 18 and Mom is still monitoring her phone and email. That doesn't sound normal to me. She also contrived to get Mo to send her the text again. Does that sound like attempted entrapment?

The revenge porn thing is a misdemeanor. The possession of the video can either be considered a felony or misdemeanor. The original distributor of the video was charged with a misdemeanor.

He's being singled out because he has become a public figure.

If Mo had more common sense, he would never have responded to the initial email exchange that she initiated.

The alarms should have gone off immediately, "Danger, Danger Will Robinson"

I think mom is very protective because of this situ
Wheres her dad?
He's in the picture. First article I read, he talked about Taylor's difficulties. Good days, bad days, trying to come to terms with everything. So on and so forth.

School kicked all three out because it was a her word against their word so all three were expelled. 3 years down the road, there will never be any clear cut answers as far as consensual act or non-consensual. As I posted yesterday, it could have easily started out consensual and then Taylor figured out this was more than she bargained for and yelled stop. At that point, it became non-consensual.

That point is completely irrelevant in the entire Mo sending the video. Due to her age, as well as the age of the two young men, it is a kiddie porn crime and thus the felony charge. What a tangled web we weave when we practice to decieve, as the old saying goes.

To our knowledge, theyve had no contact since the incedent.
It appears hes a jilted lover.
Possibly his first love.
If it didnt mean anything to him, he wouldnt have responded to her.
If shes complicit, she didnt care about him.
If he meant nothing to her, why after three years the call?
Why was mom there?
Why did mom go to the media if shes so concerned?
Mo is the victim of bad choices, he had the vid and sent it to her are two of them, caring for her possibly another.,most likely.

I just cant get over how mom called the media, thats just firetrucked up.

I agree with you on most of this. I sympathise with the girl because of the manner that the video was sent to her. What had happened was in the past and it was thrown in her face.

I've also posted, a couple of times, that I think she has judgment errors and her contacting Mo was just another judgment error. None of this would have transpired had Taylor not contacted Mo.

I think Mom is very protective of Taylor now. If you read Taylor's essay, I think you would understand some of the reasoning for that. It may be fairly common in these situations. I don't have any experience in that area so I don't know. I suspect that Mom was coaching Taylor inthat "send me the video again, I didn't see it" text as Mom was trying to prove without a doubt that Mo sent the video.

I just think that this entire incident is once again painting the NU football program in a very unfavorable light. Remember, that all of this happened after Mo signed his LOI with NU so he became a defacto Husker. No he wasn't on campus but was already a member of Husker Nation. I hate the crap that other teams and fans are going to throw our way, no matter how this is resolved. Been there, done that, deplore it.

I also don't like the shade throwing by Mo. Yes, Taylor initiated the encounter but the DA colloborates her story of sending a contratulatory message and then Mo escallating into a sexual conversation. Once she turned him down and Mom blocked the phone number, then the video and text was sent. Not cool, IMO.

I would have way more sympathy for Taylor had this happened without her initiating the conversation but I think there may be something deeper going on with Mo, but that's just a gut feeling and I may be full of you know what.

Edit: Chris, I think, posted far earlier in this thread why charges were not brought against anyone. If I understand correctly because they were all underage, they were all considered victims and guilty party. The young man who recorded (one of the two) was prosecuted for the kiddie porn thing.

Love the Danger, Danger Will Robinson thing. One of my hubbie's favorite lines.

I'd have much more respect for Mom if she had turned the matter over to the police and kept her pie hole shut and let the DA investigate matters without the media being drug into the incident.

This is a bit off topic but I'm glad you brought this up. When the story first broke my first thought was "I'm going to have a hard time cheering for this guy if this is true." And this has nothing to do with the legal ramifications. I don't care if ultimately he gets a slap on the wrist with misdemeanor charges, If he remains a member of the team I will have a difficult time rejoicing in his success.

There is a reason Rex and Ameer were two of my favorite players. Because I love to see good things happen to good people. It was so easy to jump out of the chair and cheer on their successes on the field.

Mo is an amazing talent and if he remains on the team he has the potential to be a very special player but in the back of my mind all of his success will have that "yeah but..." feeling to it. And I hate that when I am cheering on the Huskers.

Can't explain it. I'm just wired that way and I'm stubborn. I have not watched an NFL game in more than 2 years now. I stopped using Gillette products because dammit I don't suffer from toxic masculinity! Silent protest makes me feel better, if not bat$h!t crazy!

So, being protective, Im calling ketv, just because I'm being protective?
By allowing the call, protective? She was right there?
Does that sound like a way to protect her, by getting it all out in public again?
By bringing in her past with a jilted byfriend?
How much room does her mom need to make her just being protective a reasonable explanation of her actions?

You summed up my feelings exactly and worded it so much better than I have (well other than the toxic masculinity thing. Toxic feminity, perhaps but that is a different story.

Thanks!

No, the monitoring of the phone is protective. I said I have issues with the media contacct. Different post, keep reading.

Mom is a huge problem with this whole thing. But our Eintein did not help matters.
