LOL Yahoo is absolutely the worst source of news in the world. Yeah I know there are a lot of Nebraskan's lamenting the world is against us but is that a victim hood? I would say to those that deny it to check the scheduling for the years Nebraska has been in the B1G and that should shut them up.
I didn't see a name on the byline to claim ownership of that turd article. Probably a butt hurt Michigan alumni.

Yet another example of stirring the pot for Nebraska page views and retweets. They know Nebraska fans will react to the unfair, insipid writing of this "journalist." Sadly, it will work for them as it has many other times.

That is a better written article than the first one (putting some blame on both parties) and recognizing Nebraska is not going anywhere - they will stay in the B1G. He makes an interesting point about Missouri not scheduling a game when FL had to cancel for COVID. I am all for pushing the Big 10 and playing football under the rules and conference agreement. Maybe we should have known getting Big 10 approval was going to be impossible. But - from a messaging standpoint to recruits and parents of current players - we had no choice but to take all the steps we did including trying to schedule a fill in game. There is something to be said for being consistent in our desire to play.
Anyone see Finebaum just absolutely go after the Big 10 today (mostly about the 21 day quarantine rule - but on how it all has been handled by B1G leadership).
Thamel failed to mention (or perhaps didn't know as he was writing) that coaches Day and Franklin sided with Nebraska's proposal.
Maybe the problem isn't Nebraska's contrarian streak as much as it is a B1G plan filled with ugly holes such as no bye weeks and a cavalier attitude about cancelling games that fans and networks are counting on.

Very true, but if they reported that then they wouldn't get to dump a big bucket of crap on Nebraska...you don't want to spoil their fun do you?
Look.....I been telling fans for awhile now both near and far to just shut the hell up and let the Football Team do it's talking on the field.....this is just one of the consequences of idiots with a pulpit to preach from making us all look bad.
I'm so sick of the bullcrap that this whole thing has made....we already are the hind end of more jokes than I can count and dumb asses like the guy who posted the bit from sports radio just made us look radioactive !
I wish to heaven that EVERYBODY would just stop complaining on national outlets and get at least some self respect back.
I like to gripe as much as the next guy and no matter what some idiot blogger for yahoo who just happens to be Wisconsin alum thinks.....I'm tellin you all even with Mertz at QB which I wanted to happen....the Simple fact is Wisconsin didn't stand a Snow ball's chance in Hell of getting out of Lincoln this coming Saturday Night ....( we all know what happens to ANY team that dare come into Memorial Stadium on Halloween Night ! ).....without a huge beating....I'm talking EPIC BEATING HERE.....in fact If it had been played, even with their wonder boy at QB.....hell...Perdue and most likely Michigan would be thanking us because we had beat the Badgers up so badly....they might tank.....and I ain't kidding neither.....and this is the main reason I'm upset the game got called.....for whatever stupid reason....I'm mad because This game was going to be the start of something really big for us and I know it in my heart.
Now I hope everyone sees why I wanna just shut the hell up and let the team do all the talk ON THE FIELD BY KICKING THE LIVING SNOT OUT OF EVERYONE REMAINING ON OUR SCHEDULE......this honestly is the ONLY WAY....were gonna get respect and shut up the idiots.
This kinda stuff always found its way into the locker room and the Senior Leadership of our team (Unity Council) always made sure we all got the message. Trust me here if this kinda stuff got into our locker room it would get freakin posted every place for us to see as a constant reminder....the snippets of talking heads bashing us would be played on the screen and blasted in the loudspeakers....so we would come out every week with a HUGE CHIP ON OUR SHOULDERS to prove everybody wrong.....we would be relentless, ruthless, mad enough to chew steel, crap thunder and spit lightning.....by the 3rd quarter against any team that dares to line up against us....they would be praying for the game to be over.....just wanting to get back on the bus or plane and go home....anything so they didn't have to take anymore abuse at our hands.....our O linemen would honestly PUNISH....POUND...AND DEMORALIZE DEFENSES.....and the crazy sick sons a guns.....liked doing it ! They all had some demon to destroy and put that face on what ever D linemen was unlucky enough to have to line up across from them.....our Defensive Front....got so much from our own line it had the obvious effect of making them all absolute animals....who feared nothing or no man....they pinned their ears back every snap and rushed so fast and hard that passing QB's were scared of us before they ever set foot on the field.....my fellow linebackers and I had no fear of any tight end in the country and any Receiver who was dumb enough to try and catch a ball inside our area......soon learned the error of his ways......My personal thing was Run Defense....I lived for that one time I would meet some great running back in the hole on his side of or at the line of scrimmage and I would lite his ass UP !....MY FAVORITE SOUND TO THIS DAY is the crack of the pads and the strange ooofffh noise a back makes when you straight up smack him so hard all the air rushes out his mouth and he's looking up while his eyeballs are rolling around in their sockets and he is wondering..."how did I get here ?....this is not my house......oh momma I wanna go home !"....that's who I was and what I lived for.....and believe it or not.....there are some of us who are making DAMN CERTAIN WE ARE THAT WAY AGAIN.....

I would now hate to be a coach for a Big team, and have to tell our players, no, our school doesnt want a make up game, no, our conference wont allow it.
Day and Franklin were smart getting behind SF and our admin, just think about it.
The wannabe sports writers arent even in the same league with what it takes to have a healthy and great program, theyre stuck on go with jimmy n joe.
We pushed hard on that glass ceiling that comes with being in the Big, and the smarter people know this, and some are joining in.

Just what in the Hell is so freaking wrong with our Administration and Coaches going to Bat with the Conference so our Athletes can play a game this Halloween any way.....but oh God.....were scum sucking cry babies.....the ONLY SPORTS WRITERS OR Broadcasters I have respect for are those that see were just trying to let our team play football......All of this sure makes a fella wonder just how long are we going to stay in this conference.....this stuff has got to be wearing Perdy thin by now....I wouldn't be at all surprised if in the next couple of years.....we say goodbye to the Big 10 if someone comes a courting with the right bouquet of dollars and TV package.....?
