Yeah, every HC has his "line in the sand" issues. We know one of Scott's...........I bet there are others. The real test usually comes when someone crosses said lines.....does he give one mulligan....or two......or none. I'm not sure anyone wants to test the waters with Scott just to see what happens.Don't know if you remember Frost's first presser (announced as DONU's new HC? He was very ballsy, especially towards the media. Warned them that he would take no Monkey Feces concerning Ashley and his new son (we still don't even know the kid's name, do we?). After what TO went through, I completely understood why Frost set the boundaries. My point, though, is he established himself as a "take no prisoners" kind of guy. I'm sure the support staff was told in no uncertain terms what would happen if they had "loose lips".
I'm willing to bet there are several issues at play here......and one of them is money. To get a homerun hire, you might need to pay homerun money. So then there is the issue of staff acceptance. If you give coordinator money to ONE position coach, and not others, it's a hard precedent to manage. We threw a bucketful of money at a DC in the recent past, and we saw how that worked.
