I just got a "less than cordial" phone call from Lincoln telling me basically to butt out and keep my trap shut !

DOC was a very bad boy.....shame shame shame.
It is true about Quinn however he is going LSU.
as for Riaola well I will let those who get paid to leak "STUFF" by their paid subscription depts. Do all the story breaking.

I do wanna add this however Whipple changed Pitt from a RUN Heavy Offense that had gone stagnant into a east coast version of the dreaded "Air Raid" throw the ball all over the place offense.

This greatly concerns us because of the whole square peg - round hole scenario that we have already seen played out in Lincoln and how it failed.
If all this BS is true Scott Frost will not be coaching at Nebraska for long.
Our warning is this, prepare for more of the same old stuff...and another year of huge player transfers and at least 3-4 years of hugging the bottom of the conference.
I'm hurt and sick to my very core at the very thought of being betrayed like this. My teammates are as well.

It's been a long day and a freaky frosty Friday on Tuesday if there ever was one so I will leave you all for the day with these couple of thoughts from me as a Linebacker and as a Husker Fan.

First even though I have defended The Hiring of Frost I still have my own personal feelings. Some of which I will share publicly here for the first time.
I seriously want the Huskers to get back to where we left them but those days are obviously gone forever.
I hold serious doubts if we will ever be what all of us from that time period worked so hard to accomplish ever again.
I'm not giving in or up but this ain't easy being cheesey when the limburger got left out to stink up what Coach Osborne worked the majority of his adult life to build for Nebraska and it's people.
I knew in my heart when we were told to our faces, by Frost that he was doing away with the I formation and Fullback we might be doomed prisoners, chained to a sinking ship.....little did I know how right my gut was.

Frost is STILL AS STUBBORN AND DUMB AS HE WAS BACK IN THE DAY ! HE HASN'T GROWN AND LEARNED A FREAKING THING EVEN AFTER COACHING IN THIS CONFERENCE FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND HAVING BALL CONTROL, CLOCK EATING TEAMS ROUTINELY KICK OUR ASS ! if this is indeed his plan going forward with his dream of a Pure pass happy version of a failed system that is somehow going to cure all Nebraska's issues ....he has another think a comin ! Apparently all them ass whippins he got as a player made him crazy stupid but one thing you can bet your behind on is several of us are going to make our feelings known and hold him accountable period.

MAN I GOTTA FIND OUT WTF and do it damned quick.

I wouldn't worry about it Doc. It's not like the LJS and OWH are reporting the same things. Unless you're their source....

But yeah, just can't imagine Frost is thinking "We just need to pass more! Look at how we almost passed our way to a win over Michigan and Iowa!" When we can't pick up 2 yards for a TD against lowly Minnesota you know we have rushing issues. Raiola seems more like an effort to get Dominic's son than to really work up the O-line.

Doc, I'm sorry you got told to butt out. I would never want you to put your relationship with your Husker alliances at risk, just to provide us with info. What you can share without damaging those relationships is fine with me.

Having said that, you just confirmed what I had inferred from comments that SF has made since his meeting with Trev. All I have to say is PUKE, PUKE and more PUKE. You are correct that this end up costing Frost his job. He's wearing his big boy pants (I think) and will have to suffer the consequences of his actions.

If he is in fact hired, which I have my doubts, it will be solely ineptitude that led to it. We don't need 2 offensive coordinator that are both primarily passing game coaches, and with no known commodity at qb we would likely be watching the final season of the Frost era.

Nebraska has never been THAT kind of place while I was growing up. All the more reasons to cherish the 70's through 90's.

If Whipple is our QB coach then he's an A+ hire. I do not foresee SF stepping away from play-calling. Nobody believes he will.

That seems like an odd strategy. On the surface, this looks like a clusterf***. Throwing the ball 30+ times a game with Smothers? If that happens,, pre-emptive major yikes. The only thing I can guess at, meaning take a wild, baseless, stab in the dark, is that we've got a legit pocket passing or capable throwing duel threat QB lined up in the transfer portal. We could be in serious trouble. The **LAST** thing we need is to try and throw the ball 40 times a game.

Well I know who is not having Christmas dinner at Frostee's place. We have terrible records against ball control schools and I have mentioned them before so I will skip the redundancies. WE have to reduce QB carries by 30 percent otherwise we are whistling dixie.

I am fine with the hire. I don’t care how we score as long as we do. I am excited that they are good coaches…not getting nobodies. Better oline coaching will hopefully improve line, which will have 2d & 3d order effects. I still believe Frost is trying to get the right formula of Duck O and Husker Power. I like the idea and want to see it work. But he better be getting an ST coach!
