I suspect we'll find out tomorrow.

I've heard some hand-wringing about Holgorsen's Air Raid offenses. But we've had one of The Worst passing attacks of any D1 program. So the idea we suddenly have to worry about our identity if he joins the staff is kind of funny. If we want to be a top ten team again, we've got to be able to run AND pass well.

Leech I know liked to run the ball
I agree we have to be more efficient passing and running both.

Anyone who is freaked by hearing that Dana "Air Raid" Holgorsen is in Lincoln this weekend should take a deep breath and remember that Dante Dowdell (the epitome of the big, burly, between-the-tackles, rock pounder) has signed with Nebraska.

Which means there will be no air raid even with Holgerson.
Right, SUH. Coach Rhule didn't spend the last year emphasizing to all of us that he understood that pounding the rock is the essense of Nebraska football ............to abruptly throw it out the window for a high-flying offense.

But for numerous reasons, our passing game has been a disapointment. We can talk "run the ball down their throat" til we're blue in the face, but if we can't keep B1G defenses from loading the box on us, we're screwed. In today's game, with few patsies on the schedule anymore, you can't afford to be one-dimensional.

I love that we're going into Spring Ball with two great young QBs, speedy young receivers, an improving OL AND a true downhill runner like Dowdell. Watching his tape, he looked to me like Ozigbo on steroids.

I would guess he would come in as an analyst. He will be in Lincoln to help coach QB’s. Saben has done this with former HC for years.

This is a big get if it works. As someone eluded to, Nick Saban has been practically a rehab facility for talented coaches getting a restart. And look at this way - who'd you rather have, Holgerson who's been a HC in two different power five schools, coached in the NFL, or Warren Sapp, Ed Reed and Ray Lewis who combined have 1 year of professional coaching between them?

I hope it happens. We hopefully can put his experience to good use and help out the QB room.
