Is Coach Dana Holgorsen N?

I was floored by this 2017 ^^^^^ Rhule quote.

If the first time we heard Rhule say it was at the presser announcing his hiring, I'd have said Coach was just saying it to placate worried Husker fans who would believe Holgorsen's hire is signalling a move away from the Pound Da Rock attitude he and Satt hit hard with fans last year.

The fact that Rhule said that back in 2017 tells me there's more to Dana's offensive philosophy than meets the eye.

On one hand, there is this quote. On the other hand, there are YEARS of stats indicating a very passing-heavy offense.

Dana Holgorsen - Football Coach - West Virginia University Athletics

"During his 13 years overseeing offenses, he has had eight quarterbacks pass for more than 4,000 yards and nine throw for 30 touchdowns, six running backs run more than 1,000 yards and 20 receivers finished with 1,000 or more yards, including 11 with 90 or more receptions and 14 with double-figure touchdown receptions."

I was kinda shocked to see he has had more 1,000 yard rushers then we have during that period ( at least that I can recall )

Holgorsen always struck me as a bit of mad scientist with regard to his offenses. Clearly he is pretty good at getting results out of his quarterbacks (and apparently running backs too).

Sounds like at this point he is being offered an analyst role, down to us and LSU amongst his current offers. May be holding out for something better from another school. Stay tuned...
Because of his severance package I'm guessing money isn't the only factor in play. I'm betting he's considering this a stepping stone job. Which job will leave him with the greatest opportunity in the future will play a big part in my mind.

Anyone who is freaked by hearing that Dana "Air Raid" Holgorsen is in Lincoln this weekend should take a deep breath and remember that Dante Dowdell (the epitome of the big, burly, between-the-tackles, rock pounder) has signed with Nebraska.

Maybe he'll be used as a decoy wideout? :-)

These YouTube covers look so fancy and doggone official, I end up playing them expecting to get some actual news.

But this kid's 'ruminations' about Holgorsen are no different than the one's he had about Hausmann returning to Nebraska.

Personally, I think the Holgorsen ship has sailed.
