If you score 18 points a game , you shouldn’t be in 1 score games . I think that’s asking way to much of Our Defense

If you turn the ball over multiple times in a game, you shouldn't be in 1 score games.

I know it''s way too early to get too pumped up for this upcoming season, but hear me out:
- Take away the lion's share of last year's turnovers;
- Take away the insane number of injuries we had;
- Put on the field a much improved (at least on paper) offense;
- Combine it with a solid Blackshirt defense that kept us in every game but one last season;
- Add ever-improving ST play and what've you got?
During Coach Rhule's talk he talked about ownership and said Nebraska is HIS ship. He's responsible for everything.
He then mentioned a Ted Talk video that he said he pretty much plays for his team every year. He said it was by Jacko Willink and is called Extreme Ownership.
I found it. It's thirteen minutes long and well-worth your time.

It's not some wild stretch to imagine....A PLAYOFF TEAM!!!

Especially since the playoff is now 12 teams. I'm like you Dr. Fum and really excited about the 2024 season and the potential this team has to surpass all expectations.
The potential is definitely there. The three big question marks in my book are:
1) Can the offense get it together early? Can Raiola step up and become a true freshman starter at QB?
2) Can we dramatically cut down on our turnovers?
3) No one expects an injury-free season -- but no one expects the number of season-ending injuries we had last season either. Can we get through the 2024 season closer to injury-free than the latter?
I'll give you full credit. I'm really liking the sound of "Dr Fum." I may use that in the future if it's okay with you. Like MRJFB dropped a "Ole Neb" a few months ago and I still regularly use that one. Dr. Fum...Dr. Fum...that's a keeper.
In fact, I can't wait.

I'm hoping that, now that the foundation is in place for Tony White's scheme, the defense plays even more freely this year which in turn leads to more turnovers forced, and if we're dreaming big here, some defensive scores
