Huskers Rhule

Since I made kind of a big deal in this thread about Rhule's less-than-enthusiastic pressers last Spring and this Fall Camp, I'll give my reaction to his Ohio game week presser here:

It started out the same as all the others this year. I thought, 'Damn. I guess he's planning to keep up his grumpy coach routine through the whole season.' But there was a point early in the presser when Rhule gave a rather curt answer to a question from Sam McKeon. But Sam hung in there and tried to get more out of Coach with a follow-up question and Matt slowly began to 'feel his oats' so-to-speak and slip into classic Rhule-Speak. :)

The rest of the presser was much more upbeat (and fun to watch.) He couldn't help himself when talking about Justin Evans and Colandrea. But near the end, when a reporter asked for who the 'unsung new guys were that fans will be seeing this fall?' Coach refused to answer saying fans will figure it out themselves soon enough.

A give Rhule's "presser performance" today my first 'thumb's up' of the year and look forward to (hopefully) giving another one on Sunday morning for the Husker's Saturday game against Ohio. GO BIG RED.

Exactly. I am so done with empty talk, preseason hype, and moral victories.

I am off the bandwagon and have been since you know who did you know what....However lets keep this in perspective, there is only one game that you pencill in as a loss and that is you know who. So all of our objectives are still in front of us the season is far from over and damned be the disppointment except for one, tune to 7 30 left in the game see the cluster ** ck by the same old culprit. When the you know what occured a simple time out would have fixed the problem.

No one but a clown would have suggested we would go undefeated and our players deserve more respect than they got. Like it or not Indiana is a good team and so are we. Go Big Red.
