Husker players file lawsuit

Seems strange that some of you fine folks get so upset about what a couple of talking heads spout out. Seriously, who cares what they think?

Acknowledge and move on.
Speaking for myself, I'm not really upset what the losers spout off about, because it is their job after all. I'm just trying to have a little fun and talk about anything else except the damn Covid-19 crap.....:D

Sounds like Warren and the B1G are pouring cold water on starting in October......I am guessing whatever has been discussed has not moved the Presidents/Chancellors off their no sports position....bummer

Ballsy move. They were already in the crosshairs and then were given an out. Boy, they better hope the SEC has a disaster in the next 6 weeks.

Where is THAT info coming from? If Warren delays this to post-November 3, then politics is at play here.

The Michigan Governor has already banned football being played in Michigan this fall, HS or College, so I'm not sure how anyone will change her dictatorial mind and get around that issue. I'm sure she won't appreciate the current President getting involved, either. And I think a late fall start is the only realistic chance the teams have of playing. Not much changes between October and November, so I'm thinking if the the "no votes" shoot down Oct, then football won't play all in 2020. The January start is a sh!tty idea, and like Moos said, will have us playing when everyone else is done. Spring creates significant problems with player safety, which is reportedly what the naysayers are basing decisions on, so Spring should be out. But hey, if you are Warren and the Big10, just keep dangling the carrot enough to prevent revolt and mass defections from happening as the players watch the other conferences play....

Starting the season at the same time that the other conferences are playing for a national title would be the biggest joke of all time. All of a sudden, the AAC gets a seat at the big boy table and the Big10 and Pac12 lose prestige.

Get us six wins by November 30 to earn a bowl bid. Play the next six in the spring and I'm happy.

So, all we needed was three other schools to join us and the conference wouldn't have reached the 60% threshold needed for approval to cancel (postpone) the season. I can't believe Penn State, Wisconsin, and Michigan didn't join us.

Gee, what do those three states have in common?

All are swing states where political ads are running that imply the current White House is to blame for no B1G football. Like it or not, politics are all over this mess like stink on a monkey.

The best thing the B1G can do is come out and say the new Abbott tests are a game-changer we didn't have when the season was postponed, and now we're going to at least TRY to work out the other logistics for a mid-October start. If that doesn't happen, that political stigma will remain, whether or not it played a key role in Warren's original announcement.

The judge was obviously not impressed with the Big10s response and has ordered them to produce more documents by September 12th. Also authorized Flood to depose Big10 officials.

He might be impressed if it was actually legitimate data......but considering the additional information that has come out since concerning this "report", I don't think so.
Regardless, its irrelevant to the lawsuit. Something that happens weeks later had nothing to do with the decision making/vote.

Yeah, this "story" was essentially retracted today. The statistic of 30-35% was not accurate. Although correct numbers not provided.
A couple of facts here.

The non-profit Myocarditis Foundation defines the condition as “a rare but potentially devastating” one that is “most commonly caused by viruses.” There are around 75 deaths per year in athletes between 13 and 25 years old, the foundation said, and myocarditis causes around 6 percent of those deaths. (this means about 5 per year).

Chung’s comments line up with the study Sebastianelli referenced, albeit incorrectly. The research from Dr. Curt Daniels, the director of sports cardiology at Ohio State, said those cardiac MRIs found myocarditis in around 15 percent of athletes who’d tested positive for COVID-19. Almost all of those athletes showed mild symptoms or no symptoms,

Good point. There is a higher likelihood that Monkeys fly out of all our a$$es than the BIG10 reverse course for the Fall....
Well, I think I had a monkey fly out of my a$$ this morning......Anyone else? :D I am a case study for "keep your damn mouth shut" until a situation is settled.....:)
