Fall Camp 2025!

I worked in Records at LPD when I was attending DONU. Lincoln Police absolutely despise game days because of all the drunk and disorderly students. They do like the O/T but not the behaviors they have to put up with. Yeah, it's a huge problem. There are already a lot of drunken college students. Most of our Friday/Saturday evening mug shots were students at a party making too damn much noise and po'd neighbors ratted them out. But the massive number of drunk UNL students exiting the stadium is crazy.
Neb student are tame compared to Minn, PSU, OSU, Mich and few others

I thought Ohio st was the one famous for being drunken assholes
I'm not going to say Ohio State is not a big party school but over the years Wisconsin has consistently shown up on party school lists as one of the top party schools in America.

And having gone to a Nebraska game there back when Bo was our coach, I can testify it's by far the biggest student party school I've ever seen on a gameday.

As Mike Tyson said: "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth."

Before I get too excited about the 2025 Huskers, I will need to see them respond to getting punched in the mouth. Can they recover from an early deficit, a costly turnover, or a special team fail. Can they win a game with a final drive or a final stop. Can they overcome the “here we go again” BS we’ve seen time and again this century.

Winning breeds confidence and confidence breeds winning. While coaching will guide the team, it is the players who have to execute. The pass needs to be thrown to the right place, the contested pass has to be caught. The hole has to be filled, the tackle has to be made. The kick must be true.

I could not be more excited about the season starting but I feel this way during every fall camp. Sure hope this year is a breakthrough year. GBR

The beauty of CFB is that the rosters are always changing. This is arguably the first season Coach Rhule is operating with a roster dominated by players he recruited. We fans have long memories but not so much for our players.

Coach Rhule has more young pups (RS sophomores and freshmen) than Nebraska has veterans now, Our talented young players aren't carrying around all the old baggage we do. I recall the cautious optimism fans had when Johnny Rodgers hit the field for the first time and Tagge, Bronson, and Kinney had a year of playing under their belts. When you've got a winning mindset, you don't worry about the past.

Don't get me wrong, I respect your "I want to see it before I believe it" attitude. Normally, I always seem to get my heart out ahead of my head. But this time around feels different because my head is doing the talking.

Some of us witnessed the golden age of football in Lincoln and want to see it happen again before we all meet at that stadium in the sky

I'm agreeing with DrF though I've got my enthusiasm tempered a bit. I don't expect championship games at this point, just more good solid progress. I do believe that much of what we were fussing about in game day chats will either be resolved or greatly reduced. I do believe we will be much happier with our results this season.

GO BIG RED!!!

Just saw a headline from either the Lincoln Journal Star or Omaha World Herald that Head Coach Matt Rhule has said the Nebraska DL is going to be, "Hell on wheels" so I d9n't know what to do with that information. The story itself is behind a paywall and I'm not spending actual m9ney to read their dreck.

You can find out by watching Rhule's first day of Fall Camp presser.

Oh what like I'm supposed to believe the company line from Big Coach? It's big coach propaganda, wake up, do your own research.

J/K. :)

I hope our DL is all that and more.

Sorry for my absence, made the trip from Austin to North Platte with my parents last Monday and my dad has been in the hospital in NP since Wednesday night. Looks like we are going to be here at least a few more days which I don't mind just wish it was due to different circumstances. Anyways let me find some links for everyone, thanks to DrFumble and everyone else for keeping things moving!
