Fall Camp 2025!

You got me curious so I looked it up.

I promise I'll never use that term to describe cheering for Archie ever again!!!

Yowza, learn something new every day. We've watched more than one Auzzie tv series and have never once heard root used at all. Maybe censored or something, I dunno.

I find myself ever more anxious. I'm trying to thread that needle of being excited for the 2025 season and what could be, while trying to tempering my enthusiasm just in case Nebraska stumbles to an embarrassing 6 wins or less.

Sounds like Dylan tweaked his ankle but they are not concerned about it. Also hearing Pritchett has had some discipline issues that Rhule has had to address on more than one occasion. Hopefully he is not another Micah Mazzcua.

It was interesting to me to learn today that Coach Rhule has been filming dozens of these 'walk around' videos for individual recruits for a long time now and only recently realized he should do some of them for our fans.

I'll tell you one thing, if I was some hot-shot 4 or 5-star recruit, I don't care what schools were my list, I'd be blown away to get a personalized "walk around" video from Coach Rhule. If we have a breakout season this fall, look for recruiting to really take off.

At the 1:38-ish mark, Coach Holgorsen harps about the value of practicing "routine plays, routine plays, routine plays" to the point they eventually become big plays.

This morning I watched a Mike Leach biography that came up on my YouTube feed. As we've heard, Leach and our OC coached together at Texas Tech and elsewhere and became tight friends.

The biography told the story of a Texas Tech practice when Leach decided on the spur of the moment to spend practice running 'Go routes' over and over and over again. Trouble was, his WRs ran so many of them again and again and again that they were getting seriously gassed. It got to the point where one his coaches became so worried that he approached Leach and said, "Coach, you can't keep doing this." Leach reportedly responded, "Why not?"

Later that same season, Tech needed a TD trailing Texas with the ball at midfield with 8 seconds left in the game. They pulled off a "miraculous" game-winning TD on that last play of the game by running a Go route. :)
