EA Sports College Football Video Game

The cover reveal was exactly what had already been leaked, lol. We can all pre-order now, yay? July 19 with early access a whopping 3 days before that for those who purchase the deluxe edition.

A full reveal is coming tomorrow.

Saw the full reveal and was 100 under-whelmed. Graphically it looks no different than 2014. Because we've been waiting 10+ years for a CFB game and it looks like we're getting NCAA '15. Anyone else think that or am I off-base?

There's only so much you can do with a football game in terms of presentation, and the leap from PS3/360 to today hasn't been as dramatic as, say, the 16-bit generation to the PS1/N64, much less from that to PS2/Xbox when all of a sudden humanoid characters were no longer a weird looking series of triangles.

One graphical improvement that stood out comparing the new game to my memory of older versions was when they showed Washington in the tunnel ready to play in the rain, the water detail on the helmet was WAY better than 10 years ago. The advent of ray tracing has also been a major step forward for realistic lighting.

But the main reason I'll buy it is to justify the PS5 sitting on my shelf collecting dust for a month or two since I finished Uncharted :naughty:

Here's a picture from reddit to compare the whole lighting aspect. The field shouldn't have remained so vivid and bright green for night games like it did, never made sense. But also, not a HUGE graphical leap by any stretch.

I will certainly buy this game despite its under-whelming introduction.

As you have played Uncharted, a Naughty Dog franchise, I have to ask, have you played The Last Of Us? Talk about an amazing franchise! The Last Of Us is my favorite video game and series of all time.

Only the first one, which I got stuck on and never finished because the whole survivalist aspect and extreme rationing of supplies is too hard for my pea brain :happy0188:

Got stuck? What difficulty were you playing on? If you want to play it again, I can give you any pointers/hints you want. I'm an expert on the game, both 1 & 2 actually.

That's BS. Nebraska is getting screwed.

The issue is less "Who made the AP poll?" and more "Which brands pull in the most money?"

Even with our sad-sack record in recent years, we're still a top 25 brand when it comes to revenue generation.

Nebraska being the bottom tier? This just rubbing salt into the wound.

Someone forgot to tell EA that NU had the best 3-9 team of ALL TIME a few years ago.
