EA Sports College Football Video Game

I don't know that I've picked up a controller since the last NCAA football game. I used to be pretty good. Don't know if I could still play.

This is where I am at. I used to be able to beat pretty much anyone I played. Now though? I haven't played college football or madden since like 2013. It'd be more fun to play another person than it would the computer.

I haven't played it in a few years, but I was pretty unbeatable back in the day. Guess I better dig out the old game and start warming up before the new one comes out. Wonder what will have changed since 14.

One thing that'll compeltely ruin this game is if they use the Madden engine. Madden is pure, unadulterated trash.

I'm not really a gamer but I've played my son on Madden before and -- back in the day -- played the NCAA Football game. I assumed all football game 'engines' were the same. I'm curious, what's wrong with the Madden one?

The glitches have been out of control for awhile, and it's not necessary.

It's difficult for me to quantify, but as they've added all the new features over the years, the gameplay has suffered. Defenses can't cover even in man. Running the football is a joke because you against the computer, try to hand off to the RB and he's tackled instantly for a 2 yard loss. When the computer runs the ball it's a 4 yard gain at least.

Play action pass? QB is sacked immediately after the fake. Meanwhile, the computer offense when it drops back to pass has 10 seconds to find an open receiver. Even teams with weak OLs play like they're all all-pro.

It's just piss poor game play.

And this doesn't even cover the microtransactions. I don't know who to be more angry at... Electronic Arts for responding to 2K Sports beating their arse with the vastly superior NFL 2K5 by convincing the NFL to give them exclusive license, or the people that buy the game every year only to whine (rightly) how awful the game plays and feels. I haven't bought any Madden games since Target was selling 09 on clearance 10+ years ago :Indifferent0025:and I have barely played it. 2004 was the best one I ever owned.

I have NCAA football on the original xbox - haven't played for 2+ years but I can tell you it is not THAT hard to coach a team to a MNC - I think I have 20+ over 2 coaching careers. My favorite part is creating players and recruiting them to your team. I created 3 brothers with the last name "Asskicker" - those dudes could play some D.....lol.

A few years back when I got wind that Nebraska has signed some monster out of South Dakota with some name like Hash Nutmasher, I knew deep in my Husker heart that God had decided we'd about suffered enough.
:CORN:

The one season I had all 3 brothers playing D (they all had 99 ratings across the board...lol) I don't think anyone scored more than 10 points when I played the games live.

The last Dynasty I did, I created a new team called Transgender State. The colors were pink and black. I made it as gay as I could. In 15 years, won 15 conference titles, 14 National Championships. Of course the new school I created was in San Francisco.
