Through it all. It appears that PSU is going to get a pretty good imo. It appears as though they sidestepped the Callahan fiasco.
Matt Campbell is a good hire - assuming this reporting is accurate. They kneecapped him on recruiting - but he may have been unwilling to finalize a deal until ISU finished the regular season. Honestly when the search for a HC was on at Nebraska - I felt Campbell would have been a better hire than Rhule and I still feel that way. Now.....it might not work. Every hire has risks when it comes to Head Coaches. We'll see if he can work around essentially no recruiting class this season. Guessing the portal will address most of their needs and he will try to get a monster class next year.
I thought he was their 12th choice. Anyway point taken. Penn State messed this up badly. Campbell is a fine coach but 12th? Dang.
