That truck needs some tire dressing.

They came off kinda hard. Like with a sawzall and pry bars. I had 8 wheels that I had to do that way and I have 4 more to do because I am trying to find 5 good rims for this project. I would post photos but I don't have that one outside of Google Photos and apparently we can't just post a link to that here. Maybe I will post some info later in the BHF Lounge.

Anyway a bit more on this project is being posted as work continues at this link:

Wanta bet?

I will just have more time to work on this:

Flat top 6? I've got a 47 KB-2 that needs to be restored as well so maybe we make a challenge out of this if there's nothing better to do on Saturdays this fall.

Fine I will bite. How many dead would be a problem? If 164,000 is ok then how many would need to be dead before it is an issue. You guys didn't like when I compared us to Germany a few weeks ago and now you don't see India as a comparable country.

I am tired of people pooh poohing Americans dying from a virus that other nations have been able to at least slow. Sure they have not stopped it but if we are the worlds only super power then how the hell are we a super power if much of the rest of the world has been able to slow this thing and we can't do a damn thing about it.

We could have used masks and social distanced and played along with the health experts and had football. Instead we choose not to and now our season is over. The SEC, Big12 and ACC might try and play but it will be a clusterf@ck. There will be more dead and then we will have what to show for it. They ought to bring the dead bodies that are pilled up in trucks in Texas and put them in the stands so we can see what we have done. That ought to be a good photo of the hubris of our nation.

Guess what, Nebraska is part of this nation too. And as I have said before, we are all responsible for our actions. We are a team and we therefore have all failed. North, South, East and West. Our time will come with this virus if we don't take it seriously. It doesn't care what you or I think.

If the University moves back to the Big 12 I am done. Will not watch Husker Football again. It is all about the football with them. They can kiss my a$$. They probably will not though, because why piss the hand off that is going to feed you. But hell what do I know. We are screwed anyway.

Cheers to the dead.

What is an acceptable number of dead for anything to continue? If only 50 people were dying per day are we ok with playing? 10? 100? What is too many and what is too little?
The answer should probably be zero but its not.

International had some undersized engines before 1928. So in 1928 they went to Waukesha and used a 4 cylinder engine.

Here is my spare.

I have never done anything with a KB series Truck but you can look at classipickups and see Charlie's S-100 restoration. I have a 1973 1110, and a 1951 L-150 grain truck and a couple of other 1970's project trucks. Charlie has 2 Scout II's, 1957 A-100, a Golden Anniversary (1958) A-110 and a B-100 from 1959. I also have a 1950 L-160 with not title that I am trying to decide what to do with. The S-100 and my L-150 and the 1110 are all running. The rest are waiting in the wings. I also have a 1955 John Deere 60 and Charlie has a 1959 John Deere 630. Both "run" both need some work but have run in the last year... I also have a Minniapolis Moline ZAU that I "Won" as a prize on a raffle that doesn't run right now.

We can PM on this more if you would like. I might be able to help with parts sources.

I don't see a lot of scenarios where Nebraska comes out on top with the options ahead of us. If the big boys, and DONU, of the big 10 decide to play, that damages the relationship with the conference and creates animosity between member schools.

If we go solo, we're screwed. We'd be a pariah.

If we play and players get sick, we look like fools and affirm that we are a play/win at all costs program.

Could this all lead to another monumental conference realignment or a dissolution of conference affiliations?

What does playing have to do with transmission and getting sick if they are still allowed to practice 20 hours per week? What is the actual increased risk to actually play a game after you've practiced, which they will be allowed to do? The travel ...maybe?

I think it is time for everyone to take a chill pill. I can't get into Scott's head, but I don't think he was implying that we leave the Big 10, only that they wanted to play ball.

I can't see going back to the Big12 were we get kicked around in the head office by Texas again. Calmer heads just need to prevail, even on this board. Everyone has a right to their opinion, even if it is wrong.

As far as ESPN, I haven't paid attention to their crap for two decades. The push back on Scott's statement seems to be overly harsh. Makes me think someones feelings must have been really hurt in high places.

If one group is isolated, in a bubble, they have a reduced risk of transmission within that group. When you start adding other factors like travel, you increase the exposure pool. It also comes down to individual discipline. If everybody followed extremely strict protocols without exception and isolated except for practice and games, it could potentially be safe.

But we know that human beings don't do that. They downplay the risks. All it takes is one person to play fast and loose with the protocols and the risk of infection rises.

Raise your hand if you believe the death count. Biggest load of BS since the 2k fear mongering.

If a person dies and can test positive for influenza or this virus then they are counted as a Covid death.
A person dying while testing positive is not the same as dying due to Covid.

And isn't he new? I think he was forced by the presidents but I don't know. And really for me I don't want to bash him personally because I don't know what went on behind the scenes.

Yes, he is new and if I had a chance to ask him a question I would ask the following:
There have been many college football pundits who have said that Nebraska should be kicked out of the Big 10. You have said that in so many words that if Nebraska played this fall, they would not be members of the Big 10 in the future. I know hypothetical questions often are difficult and sometimes are after the fact questions but as new commissioner, if you had the following 5 scenarios who would you kick out of the conference?
1. Your school wants to play football outside of the conference this fall
2. Your school had a serial pedophile on staff and the coaching staff and administration did very little to stop the abuse that they knew was occuring.
3. Your school had a serial rapist on staff and enabled him to continue to rape and abuse student athletes by turning a blind eye to the allegations and in some cases hindered investigations into his abuse
4. Your school had a coaching staff and culture that was so toxic that it may have led to the death of a student athlete.
5. Your school was recently cited as having a program that is racially and culturally biased. Said program has been run by a 20 year coach.

So which deserves to be kicked out of the prestigious Big 10?

I'm waiting to hear back from Michael Wilbon and Desmond Howard on this question as well.

I want a video of this reaction from folks in the room. ;scared

They could have played half the season before Christmas and the other half afterwards. Plenty of time between games for a quarantine event.

In life you can retreat in fear and uncertainty, or you can chose to move forward and live. Some of us will fall, sure, but to retreat from everything good is no way to live.
