It could be there is no good guy/ bad guy situation here.
I remember when Trev burned bridges at ESPN by having a temper tantrum. Hopefully, he learned his lesson, but this may be the equivalent of him stamping his foot and demanding things go his way.
Trev certainly has enjoyed favored son status here and has some high level support-even if behind the scenes. On paper, he wasn't qualified to make the jump from UNO to a bigtime D1 program, but he was chosen for the job.
If Trev isn't happy with the office politics at UNL, he sure ain't gonna like it at A&M, where he's an outsider.
The above is pure conjecture on my part. I know I have developed a bit of a reputation as someone who looks for conspiracy theories- but I've often guessed right- up to a 27% accuracy!

If this was a result of some 'clash of egos,' who is the other ego? Without even knowing which Regents were involved and who they were targeting for the next Prez, my support would've been with Trev.
This is the kind of crappola that happens when you have the UNL Athletic Department report to the System President's Office. With the original personalities involved, it would've been workable but with Carter gone and Alberts apparently going, the situation has become a regular sh** show.
Starting to think, with no real evidence to point to, that we have a problem at the Regent level here. Everyone is bailing and the only ones that are the same are the Regents.
I asked the magic 8 ball if Trev is leaving, and it replied... Yes-definitely. So, there you go. Confirmed.

Trev just never looked comfortable here and his reign can't be described as anything but mediocre. Of course he wasn't here long but nothing he did knocked it out of the park and that blowing up the South Stadium idea is dumber than a bag of hammers.

Take a walk in nature. Enjoy a beautiful sunset. Pet your dog and tell him he's a good boy. Never, ever put your faith and trust in another human being. Half the time you will be left extremely disappointed nearly 90% of the time. My waning interest in all things sport related is front and center once again. I hate everything.
This is horrible! The job isn’t even finished in Lincoln!! If it happens, which it definitely appears it is, Alberts is dead to me and as far as I am concerned erase his name from everything!!
