5 Days until the first game of the 2026 season

Does it say anything on their OOC schedule? Looks like he learned a thing or 2 from SEC schools.

They just initiated the cancellation of Notre Dame. Looks like they won't play a single P4 team (other than conference schedule) until at least 2032.
I'm not sure why they xcld the ND series however their OOC was scheduled before Cignetti got there but his teams destroyed them as they should've. I don't like that because I do feel weak ducked Tennessee then Rhule says at Big 10.media days they want to play a tough schedule. I about spit my soda out. What about Tennessee Rhule?

I think one day (years from now) conferences will dissolve and the top 40-50 teams will be assigned a schedule as happens in the NFL.

Conferences were necessary when college football was a regional sport. The fact that Rutgers and UCLA are now in the same conference (to say nothing of Stanford living in the Atlantic Coast Conference) shows the concept of conference already is on life support.

Rivalries will survive because money is involved.

I think you're close, Huusker. I'm betting "years from now" is 2030.

I'm on record as blow-harding the opinion that once 2030 rolls around when all the current CFB TV contracts expire, the B1G and the SEC will break away from the NCAA and form their own league with their own ironclad (in other words, lawyer-proof) set of rules that will end much of the free-for-all madness we have going on throughout the NCAA now.

The two conferences (a future NFC/AFC kind of deal) currently include 34 teams. I'm guessing the Big 2 will expand again to the point where your 40-50 prediction is in the ballpark (Despite current calls for more vs less, I think it'll be no more than 40.) Like the NFL, at the end of the regular season, we'll have playoffs within the two conferences that will end with the B1G champion and the SEC champion meeting for the national championship.

5 Days!!!!
Finally no more Saturdays to have to wait for a game.
Got to check my Nebraska flag status and see who to fly. Yes, I refer to my Nebraska flags as who.

Many questions going into this week?
How does the defense look? Is the OL better? What does the mobile QB give to the offense?
Who are the Blackshirts? Will there be Blackshirts to start the season?

Where is the depth chart?????

What am I going to cook for the first game?

Will I fit into my Husker apparel.

Important questions remain!!

GO BIG RED!!!!!!!

OK, I need new Husker apparel. My wife is getting cataract surgery on Wednesday. I will tell her she OK'd it while she was laid up on the couch.
