5 Days until the first game of the 2026 season

[justino52]

It's never too early.

Since Spring Ball is now over, now we wait for the next season to start.

145 days - less than 5 months.

As always, I'm looking forward to next season and trying to figure out what to do waiting for it to start.

Hockey playoffs start soon so that's a month long.

The World Cup starts in June and goes through July so that's some more time.

Just a few short months.

GO BIG RED!!!!

What's the old saying? Wink of a eye. We've had slow winkers leading this program for far too long (2AM and DR). Looking forward to seeing what a swashbuckler can do.

Bass opening up soon in Minnesota. Getting them from sand bottom lakes is sanitary, whereas bass off Missouri mud bottoms make me want to cry. The meat is not the same. Mizzou bass look like a horror movie.

Futbol is meh.

[Doc Fumble]

Okay, here's a May prediction you can make fun of me for come December:

Our scoring offense will be BETTER than it was last season with DR.

Well considering Nebraska averaged 22.6 points per game in B1G play, that's a pretty low bar to clear so I think your prediction is on a pretty sturdy limb.

Agreed. Not on the edge of my seat, but WC is really the only soccer I watch. Because it is a lot of fun.

Only picked up on it in the last 15 yrs or so

I'm hoping that the jump to 48 teams doesn't result in less competition and some ugly ugly games for less competitive teams. Of course that also may result in some upsets. They went from 16/32 (50%) going to the knockout stage to 32/48 (67%) going to the knockout stage this year. We'll see.

Dammit, you didn't need to point out what our scoring average was last year.

Given my recent track record, the limbs I climb out on nowadays need to be damn sturdy.

I don't know where this belongs but whatever.

I like it much better (he actually looks kind of dashing) than when he's trying to be relatable to 17 year olds or whatever it is that causes him to wear his hat backwards, like he's stylin' or something (can you tell I really HATE that look?)!

Rod came out of his frooty period. I did not know that.

He needs to be focused 100% on football at the current moment and not private jetting around the country. Maybe if we get to be as good as Indiana then ok, that's fine but we aren't there yet. Husker football should be his focus. Currently it's not.
