Let's not overlook Martinez's innate ability to completely ignore wide open receivers while holding the ball too long before throwing it away or, at best, completing to someone else for less yardage than was readily available. If I weren't so damned lazy I'd make a supercut from each game this year of Matt Davison screaming during a play that somebody is wide open. It's unreal, just how average Martinez is mentally, but obviously a very physically talented guy.In all my years involved in football I have never witnessed a HC tolerating the amount of mistakes coming from the QB than I have with AM2/Frost. It's almost as if AM2 has pictures on Frost. As far as playing Smothers, he deserves the opportunity to remove AM2 from the throne during the bye week, since all of our losses are due in some part to AM2 single digit IQ in football and his penchant for throwing INT's or fumbling in the waning minutes of winnable games.
Frost finally admitted in the post game press conference today that Adrian has been playing with a broken jaw (MSU game) and a high ankle sprain (in practice before the Minnesota game).I heard that at the MSU game when Adrian came out they basically had to rubber band his jaw back together. Nothing else was said of it and then during the broadcast Gus Johnson stated that Adrian had a broken jaw. I had never heard this officially come out of the mouths of the coaches. Frost confirmed this postgame today.
The bad thing is Frost has failed to develop a backup QB. That's on Frost. This should shut up some people , i dont wanna hear he is a *****, or weak, or not a leader . That says a lot about 2am.
Now should he have been out ther is another question. I back frost , but dont play hurt kids, he had tp be cleared by medical staff but damn its a bad look
True, but its also hard to bring in top notch competition at QB when the returning guy had the kinda fresh season 2am had, then was a returning 2 year starter . I absolutely agree we missed on burrows ( but again what had he done prior to LSU in NCAA ball ) i do truly believe our biggest problem is at O line. And i dont think its talent or staff. I think its scheme. It’s a passive blocking scheme and in my , unimportant opinion that is and what has killed our teamThe bad thing is Frost has failed to develop a backup QB. That's on Frost.

Toughness doesn't always win football games. And that is where Nebraska is. That is where he is. They cannot win football games when they need to.This should shut up some people , i dont wanna hear he is a *****, or weak, or not a leader . That says a lot about 2am.

Can’t argue the results, it’s undeniable. But why? I think its the weak ass try to turn the defender on the run blocking….that translates to the defender knowing he can initiate contact at will no matter the call . So on a passing down it gives him the advantage knowing even if we run , he still is the aggressorOur tackles are the worst pair in the conference. Their grades at pass blocking are the worst in the conference. That may be bad coaching or bad players but they are bad and it has nothing to do with scheme. Tackles need to be able to pass block, period.
He cant find his receivers and he does not have the confidence to make a throw to a WR if there is anyone with in 10 feet of the WRLet's not overlook Martinez's innate ability to completely ignore wide open receivers while holding the ball too long before throwing it away or, at best, completing to someone else for less yardage than was readily available. Frost appears to have a man crush on AM2. He's definitely hitched his wagon to AM2. I don't think it was a good move but WTF do I know? Then why the Coitus is he out there playing? Oh, that’s right….
I will give him credit he is a tough sob. I also think he has been a class act these 4 years.
Yeah kind of a strange paradox. He's made of glass but has played through the pain for better or worse.Tough SOB? He's fragile. He has been injured every year since his junior year in high school.
Class act? Absolutely. He is mature beyond his years and has been since day 1. Tough SOB? He's fragile. He has been injured every year since his junior year in high school.
BTO...So yur saying Frost and 2AM are taking care of business? Or are you saying give them one more year because you ain't seen nothing yet?frequent injuries = a "fragile" player? not true. Bones break, tendons tear, cartilidge shreds. It happens to the best of 'em. He plays through it, so "not fragile".
cue the BTO...
