Has he officially opted out of playing in the bowl game? I don't recall seeing it if so. The only mention I've seen was assumptions/speculations by posters here.

Wouldn't put it past Kiffen to lie about it, but it could be that he remodeled/addition/landscaping/etc to total $2.89 million.

I did say in my opinion. We'll see which round he is drafted. But I think he could improve to a top 2 round draft pick with another good year. Perhaps add some hardware to his trophy case. I could be wrong.

Last time I sat down to play poker in Vegas the cash games didn't have any fee or ante. Just small and big blinds. Tournaments do increase blinds rather quickly anymore, but they have a time slot that they "have" to finish within so the next tournament can start on time.

They used to have annual contracts I believe. The Coordinators may have longer contracts.

My definition of broke was me in college. Loved it when it would snow as I would walk around to houses near campus to ask if they would like me to shovel their sidewalk and driveway. I used the money to pay for fuel to get home at break and/or to get something to eat on the weekends.

IMO, that sounds like a recipe for disaster. Jack of all trades, master of none defense. Great in theory, but probably not going to work in the real world.

Unfortunately, I think you are right. I do think there is a chance due to NIL and hopefully he feels he is part of a "resurgence" of husker football and wants to see it through.

I know EJ has been very important to our team this year. That said, I don't think there is any way he wins the Heisman this year. Too late in the season before he was mentioned. If he stays another year, he may be in the conversation early. Then, if he produces, I think he has a shot.
