Cook is great and has brought a lot of success, but he's left some hardware on the championship floor over the years, including last night. I've never taken him or his teams as having a person with a killer instinct since Larsen/Foeke.

    I am Disgusted

Second and goal from the 5 and we pass 3 times? Granted, I don't get BTN so have no idea how the run game managed.

Are we better off than last year...

No, we are the same old same old. Play up to just below good competition and play just worse than the bad competition. Sprinkle in a couple decent games and at least one massive blowout. Offense that becomes more anemic as the season goes on. Rinse and repeat.

    Micah Mazzccua gone?

yes, Rhule said he's still on the team in the presser, just wasn't there today. Will be interesting to see how much he addresses it on Monday.

    Redshirt for Riley Van Poppel

Smart move by everyone if he agrees to it (which I assume he has). Can play in 5 games total this year (yes, counting the bowl game). Give him some good action in a couple meaningful games to keep him hungry.

    Congratulations Xavier Watts

Man, didn't realize Xavier won the Bronco Nagurski award and was a unanimous All-American this season. Congratulations to him. Unfortunate we weren't able to get this man to Nebraska, but who knows if he would have flourished or floundered under Frost.
