How long has it been since you have heard "Nebraska and Alabama are tied."

Totally agree, SUH. The rise of our academics and student profile at the beginning of this century is what put the University in a position that allowed us to be invited into the Big Ten. We've done nothing but backpedal since then.
It wasn't that long ago that Nebraska was ahead of KU and far ahead of schools like Arkansas, OU, and Alabama. It's downright embarrassing where we are ranked now.
Sadly, it looks like its only going to get worse. UNL's Deans and administrators are occupied salvaging what we've currently got from the budget cut knife. The University desperately needs an infusion of academic "Matt Rhules" who feel an urgency to 'be the best.' From a distance, it sure looks like we're content to continue sliding. Trouble is, in this state, nobody gives a sh**
My hole thing is I just want consistency. Land of Enchantment schools, New Mexico and NMSU, are ranked in the 100s in both football and academics. TWITA!
Off the top of my head I can't remember how long it's been since we've produced an academic all-american. I could look it up but too lazy to do so at this moment. Lol
More information than we needed, Hunch.
Or maybe it's more evidence of a failed university system in the state of NM.More information than we needed, Hunch.

If you're looking for words to describe Tony White, try these: Genuine, humble, classy, honest, passionate, kind, funny, sincere and compassionate,
When I presented Coach White with the above defensive stats, he refused to take credit. He was quick to laud his other defensive coaches and most of all head coach Matt Rhule.
