Who would you prefer for OC?

Taking this long is not good. We had a two week head start to figure this out.
Why is finding our OC taking so long? Is it the ones we want are in multiple negotiations? Is the interest in the job low? Is the interviewing going poorly?
Times a'wastin'!
This all needs to get resolved, offers for those in the transfer portal are happening NOW. Every day matters.

Because the season is still active for some under discussion.
We all want fast a right, but we really want right.,

Hearing that recruits are being told we will announce the OC in 10 days, Army plays Navy 12/11 so it would lend credence to the idea that we are hiring Brent Davis. Not sure how the whole co-OC theory fits into that scenario.
No idea why you couldn't announce it now if that is the case--he could be on the phone with recruits and players in the portal today

IMO we can't wait another 10 days for him to make contact with current and future recruits

If my goal was to rise through the ranks and get experience along the way like a conference title, I'd tell the future employer to shut their trap until the game is done too so there are no distractions for the players. Most coaches never win a conference title in college.

Don’t you think his current players have already heard the rumors— IMO it would be less of a distraction if he went ahead and announced it and ended the speculation

I’m wondering if all the new openings elsewhere hasn’t changed things as in our candidate could be interviewing elsewhere or we have interest in other OC candidates?

I bring this up because Sean C brought up ASU OC Zak Hill yesterday and today a new name being discussed is VA OC Robert Anae.

There's GOT to be some mad jockeying for positions going on right now.

Curious how the current QBs will fit in with the new OC— if he plans to run the triple option (as we’ve heard) from my vantage point, it looks like only one of the three would flourish in that setting

Sooooo Joe Brady just got fired from the Carolina Panthers after only 2 years. Him and Mickey Joseph seemed to work well together before. Too late to bring him in for an interview?

I sort of assumed once we gave Mickey J the pass game coordinator title that whomever we hire at OC will be the running coordinator. But what do I know :)
Does anybody see the irony in Mickey J being the pass game coordinator. We all know where Jamaal Lord ranked in the history of passing QBs at Nebraska...MJ was one slot above him :D

Great hire though. I was always a fan of his. He was a little guy to be taking the pounding he took in the option but he was electric.

I want to make an amendment to an earlier post: I would not mind Bill O'Brien being our OC at all. The game he called against Georgia in the SEC Championship was masterful. Yeah Georgia had a couple busts in coverage, but overall, he found a way to exploit the sh** out of that Bulldog defense.

Joe Brady would be a monster hire. However - I don't think we can afford him - he'll be well north of $1M a year if he goes back to college football.

If Frost hires Graham Harrell I give up on Huskers football until afer next season when Frost gets fired. If that ends up being the guy hired as the OC, then Frost shows how dumb he is.

Getting the Army guy would be smart since he can fix the running game.

USC guy = failed hire resulting in Frost being fired.

Army guy = fixed rushing attack and wins.

There is a guy available who put out the 21st best offense in terms of yards per play. Considering what he had to work with its almost miraculous.
I know this is too little, too late but why was Lubick made out a scapegoat? This was his first full season and he had little to nothing to do with the talent given.
