Just watched the post game comments of the players, night and day from the MR days, more like the Bo days, yet the players havnt gotten anywheres near that kind of success, to a man they are confident, and they know, this team has gotten better, is getting better, and are close.Frost is going to get the time. Moos made that abundently clear when Frost's contract extension was announced. If we do not see a marked improvement next season, I am going to be extremely concerned because Frost will have 3 recruiting cycles under his belt -- more than enough time to have recruited players.
Frost and staff are young coaches. I'm hoping they spend some of the off season reflecting on changes they need to make as coaches to improve our program. If they don't, nothing is going to change. I want Frost to succeed here; in order for that to happen, Frost needs to make some changes within himself. As well as needing time and players. Just my opinion.
Ive seen where weve lost like 3/4s of the close games under this staff, whereas I believe Bo was exactly the opposite. Granted, I hated winning close back then, but it beats losing close.
But my biggest takeaway is, our team is noheres near what we know its potential to be, yet that minute difference of winning vs losing those close ball games is a world of difference in perspective. A perspective not lost on those young plyers, as they know just how lose they truly are.
So, I'll keep beating my drum of positivity, knowing the future, those players know how close things really are, mixed in with a healthy dose of reality, where one coach who won those close games is considered a good coach, as we question a younger, much much more convicted coach who is likely to be much more flexble going forwards.
