YouTube TV may drop all Fox channels starting 5 PM 8/27

Hulu Live is a solution. 2 issues. 1 - YouTube TV is the #1 streaming platform - so it has more financial might to resolve these disputes. Hulu is going to have issues with other content providers at some point. 2 - UNLIMITED DVR on YouTubeTV - once you have this - there is no going back.

There would be a bit of a learning curve to get Hulu Live set-up. I have a Hulu subscription right now for their streamed content - but not Live. So probably not that bad to figure it out.

I plan to wait it out. I'll listen to the radio broadcast stream for Akron if I have too - assuming by Week 1 of the NFL season this will be resolved (for Sunday games). That's been the pattern on these. Both sides need the NFL viewers to make the numbers work. Fox for their ads, YouTube for streaming counts.

I don't watch much regular TV including ANY of the multitude of reality shows out there. My wife likes news channels and ANY show about any form of dating - bachelor, love island - let's just say I don't. LOL.

I do get value because the I follow many sports on YouTube TV: NASCAR, ARCA, Indycar, F1, Formula E (although the novelty of F-E has worn off - basically it is about cutting a fast qualifying lap and then managing the battery in the race and I don't really like the CBSsports broadcast). College football - of course the Huskers being the centerpiece, NFL (Vikings - but I watch games beyond that - especially once winter sets in fully). College basketball - Huskers and Bluejays both. I have all the relevant streaming services except Peacock that carry football. I occasionally will watch other sports but it is pretty rare. World Series, NBA playoffs.....I watched those when I was younger but they just don't hold my attention much.

Living in MN - a few guys I work with are DEDICATED Twins fans - they watch or go to almost every game - including streaming it at work......ah OK - nice thing about football is you don't have to make THAT type of commitment to follow the Huskers....

You Tube is going to continue show Fox according to an article I saw last night. It was clear this is a stop gap and a long term deal has to be made. I m sure it chafes Fox s butt that You Tube has New Max on its line up of news shows. Fox has its on streaming channel now with maybe 10 shows on it.
