Who do you consider Nebraska's 2nd best I-back and best fullback ever?

[saturdaysarebetter]

Based on their college playing days only, who do you consider Nebraska's 2nd best I-back behind Mike Rozier? Lawrence Phillips? Green? Abdullah? Others?

And who do you consider Nebraska's greatest fullback? Mackovicka? Rathman? Others?

One guy could be the tops on both lists

Roger cola ?

RC baby!...and I ain't talkin Slocum.

RC was good at both but not the best at either. If he had played for Callahan, he would have shined.

Yeah, Craig was just incredible. I love Mackovicka but little Tommy Rathman will always be the man. We loved across the street from each other for a very short time (he was just a kid). Absolutely crazy and no fear whatsoever. I was surprised he made it to adulthood but that translated into being an incredible player.

[Husker99]

Nebraska's best FB ever? Frank Solich, obviously.

In all seriousness though, Corey Schelsinger (spelling?) is Nebraska's best FB ever.

#1 RB? Lawrence Phillips (RIP).

2nd best RB? Tough call: Ahman Green, Mike Rozier, Jeff Kinney, Calvin Jones, and so many others could all make a solid case.

[SUHnami]

Tough to name the best RB. Probably have to go with Rozier. And FB is even tougher, with Roger Craig, Rathman, Schlesinget, Jeff Mackovicka.

Andra Franklin deserves some recognition as well.

Nebraska Football’s Five Most Overrated Running Backs Of The Past 20 Years

Had to post this because of the Stevenson post . I didn’t know what he did after leaving NU

the one that shocked me was Collin’s

He's #1 in my book. Very good blocker. Very good at running the ball - which he was asked to do a lot.

After thinking about it. NU has had some great RBs. However, they probably have had more great fullbacks. The one they missed on was John Riggins. Best fullback of all time.

To the OP: Berns. Schellen.
