It would be a no-brainer “yes” if he ended his career playing well. His best football was his freshman year though. It only takes one team I guess.

Back in the day, all of the Big Dawg schools were recruiting McCaffery as a hot-shot, speedy WR. Keep in mind that Luke choose Nebraska over all of them because Frost promised him he'd play QB.
It turns out the other Big Dawg coaches knew what they were doing. I may be wrong, but I suspect the issue was less about Luke moving to WR than it was a promise broken by the Huskers' head coach.

He got his shot (shots) and failed miserably I remember the reads when he was being recruited they all said his first chance was at QB then he would be moved if it didn’t work out
I would say Scott held up his end of that deal and the rubber arm did not
