What to do at QB?

Rhule will have to figure out if he has the o-line coach that he wants. I believe the o-line was improved but it was still the weakest link.

I would say that “team” didn’t belong in the nc game, best player in the country absolutely but the team was not
So, continue being like everyone else and have losing seasons? Or go back to what worked for so long and had us in the conversation for National Championships?
Talented players want to play for winners. Remember Nebraska was putting a lot of players in the NFL back in the day.

I am less hung up on scheme for the offense and more concerned about lack of execution. I expect some changes on the offensive staff (coaches maybe - support staff absolutely). I expect the portal to be worked hard for filling holes - primarily a QB (or 2). Hopefully we have the depth so if we have a player putting the ball on the turf we bench them and they STAY there until they earn another shot at playing time. That many turnovers indicates poor coaching to me - what Rhule is doing to fix that is my #1 question going into next season.

With the schedule we have next year, especially the second half of the season, none of the QB's who played this year will get us more than 4 or 5 wins. Especially if Satterfield and Raiola are retained. Rhule needs to find an immediate game changer at QB.

Agreed. We need to go after the top QB prospect in the portal and upgrade the QB coach. O know that means having to ask another coach to move on but having a dedicated QB coach's serves many teams well.

You know who the QB coach is, MR will never replace him

Rumors today Maalik Murphy at Texas is looking to transfer - he's probably got a big NIL number so not sure we would be on his radar.

A QB convo seems a bit cart-before-the-horse to me.

Anyone we start will only be as effective as his skill, judgment, and maybe most importantly, the line allows.

We'll need several new men on the OL. Our current crew is battered and short-handed.

There will probably be lots of options for qb's. Need to make sure correct one(s) is/are targeted and NIL them properly. (Sorry I'm old and don't understand NIL other than college free agency.) I know I'm in minority but am willing to give Satterfield a little break. Injury concerns at multiple offensive positions hampered building consistency. I have more of an issue with game/clock management than play-calling even though it was odd at times. And even if do get stud qb better get help to protect him. Our qbs seemed to know the limitations of the o-line so were quick to escape or throw to option 1.

Even with a healthy offense he stunk.
