Well, at least one expert has picked us to beat OU.

So what's the difference between the "experts " predictions compared to the "average fans " predictions?
An expert knows about 25% as much as the average Nebraska fan.
A coach knows twice as much as an expert.
An average fan of other teams knows about half as much as an expert.

That's a lot to digest Deighvid.

I asked my friend Pythagoras to help me understand cuz he's pretty good at math and he threw a few theorems my way. I think I got it.

I was hoping it was going to be Sir Yacht. I think I'll take the chicken's advice over Sir Yacht tho!

I found this little diddy on the interwebs about our hero, Clucko the Chicken, from a couple of years back when ol' Clucko correctly predicted Auburn would make it into the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA men's basketball tourney.

"We may have just seen the most remarkable postseason run in the history of college basketball.

That’s a big statement, but it’s an argument that’s easy to make.

And, almost nobody saw it coming. Just a very few brave (and foolish-looking) analysts … along with Clucko the Chicken.

Heading into the Sweet Sixteen, Auburn was given little respect. Apparently, the Tigers four-game sprint through the SEC to win the conference tournament championship wasn’t enough. Didn’t matter that it was only the second time ever that a team overcame the grueling task of four games in four days to win the SEC title.

In Round One of the NCAA Tournament, just four days later … and 1,600 miles away … Auburn defeated New Mexico State, the 30-win Western Athletic Conference champions on a 19-game winning streak, located within driving distance of Salt Lake City.

Two days later, the Tigers steamrolled Kansas, leading by as many as 20 points in a game never competitive after intermission, earning its way to its first Sweet Sixteen since 2003.

Still, there were almost no believers.

Except, Clucko the Chicken.

In case you’re not aware, Clucko is a really, really big Brahma chicken, long known for sports prediction prowess. Clucko comes down the walkway from his house and picks games, actually winning a 24-entrant football bowl pool a number of years ago."

In other words, Husker fans, think twice before making fun of the legendary Clucko!!!
Clucko does, indeed, rock!

If you want to know who are the experts, cast your eyes to Vegas. They know, most of the time. But rig it just a little so that every sucker is throwing down their money, on the Huskers to cover.

I don't know guys, Huskers are gaining momentum. Another sports icon is taking the Big Red this weekend. Gentle Ben Crenshaw was asked about the Huskers chances last night. This was his reply...

Nebraska will need some eggs-traordinary play to not run a-fowl in the outcome. And, if Nebraska does win, then Clucko will rule the BHF roost as our hen-spiration.

If Nebraska pulls off an upset, I suggest we all sign and send a petition to the Governor's Office requesting he award Clucko the Chicken a certificate making him an honorary Admiral in the Nebraska Navy!

"Please, Nebraska fans, these boys are on trial for their entire football season. Don't tell me you've pinned your hopes on Clucko the Chicken? Is that what you want to do?"

"I want the truth!"

"You can't handle the truth!"

The Scene: BHF's rowdy pregame party before the NU-OU game.

The BHF Gang: Whooohooo!!! We're gonna win!!! We're gonna win!!! We're gonna win!!!

caligula: Don't tell me you've pinned your hopes on Clucko the Chicken?

The party suddenly grows eerily quiet and everybody looks sheepishly at one another.
