WE ARE BACK

At this point I would take 4 games over no games...
Yep. From a Nebraska football "fix" stand point there is now a month of the preseason stuff. Depth, position battles, who is hurt, etc, etc. Worse case, we actually never play so there is at least a month of distraction. If they get in half a season and its cancelled, then it gets to November which is where we have been for 3 years anyway.

They probably will platoon the QBs. #1 and #2 will not be allowed to be in proximity of one another ever.

October 23?! We can have one month of practices and start Oct. 17. B1G takes steps forward and back at the same time. Let's get the other sports going too.

I think when the schedule comes out there will be a collective groan and sighing in Husker Nation as we ponder what our record will be for 2020.

You know 6 of the teams are division opponents. You can place a good bet that one of the other 2 will be OSU. So that leaves one opening.

All teams will need to be disciplined in order to still play. Per the B1G, teams having a Positivity Rate of 5> % and 7.5>% based on two separate formulas, that team won’t practice or play. What this means that players will need to observe the utmost in masking, sanitizing, distance on campus, etc. Probably it would be a good idea to stay away from night-life. Kind of hard to tell 18-22 year olds this. Hopefully Coach Frost has a plan to “restructure” their social lives, maybe like NEVER!

I wonder how they will determine the home team in these games? Surely these all won't be on neutral fields.

Sean Callahan asked about the December 19th games, Moos said it is still TBD. He did not rule out that they may be played in domes. Green added that another part of that conversation is what is happening on the school campuses.

Moos anticipates there being Friday night B10 games. He mentioned hoping to establish the traditional Black Friday game vs Iowa. Again as Spleen said we should know in 2-3 days.

I wish they could have worked out Oct 10th to start.

Oct. 17 was acceptable.

Oct 23-24 - no margin for error if a team has to COVID cancel - although with the rules they defined - once your team has an outbreak it might mean no games for 3-4 weeks.

Any idea when we will see a schedule?

GBR
Soon I hear, but this factor might raise as much ire and applause as the postponement. The fact we got we get football is enough for me, but some big questions loom. Who gets home and away; Who gets Rutgers (they may, or may not, get to play many games); If many games get cancelled, and some assuredly will, what impact will that have on division winners; What impact does stadium volume play. So much stuff......so little time......and so little history to base decisions on.

Let's just enjoy the fact that we will get to watch some Husker football this year.
