When they realized Nebraska could not pass the ball they simply stuffed all running lanes and outnumbered the pass protection. It wasn't rocket science. Wasn't brain surgery. It wasn't complicated at all. Why can't coaches being paid bucket loads of money figure it out.

I warned them all week. This is what Wisconsin was going to do. We have an Elete 11 quarterback not getting any snaps. Got the Shrine Bowl record holder for passing not getting much time in all fall. It was a wasted year for them.

We should have run a option game with Tommy. Should have ran the spread with a passer. Square pegs and round holes offense. Bo is over his head. Not enough Nebraska kids in the two deep. They go down hard. It's not rocket surgery, or brain science.

Remember when Miami blew us out? What did they score 21 or 24 points. We thought the world had ended. Now we set records every year for humiliation. It's a simple game. You block and you tackle. You hit them where they are weakest.

Why do we tackle around the top of the shoulder pads. We were taught better in Pop Warner. Why do we lock up with blockers. We seem to be playing this game all wrong. This scheme has never stopped a running game. Why not have another scheme against running teams. I don't understand this game anymore...... Circle the wagons cause here comes those Indians. Armstrong Custer needed a passing game too.

During the bye week I said Nebraska would, offensively, keep doing what didn't work against Michigan State. Wide outside zone runs, passes to the sideline for minimal gain, and lobs/heaves 40+ yards down the field.

I said that NU will need to exploit that short and intermediate passing game over the middle to open up those outside runs.

Beck did nothing except stick with what was not working.

I found myself, stupidly, screaming at the tv for NU to start throwing to the middle to take advantage of what Wisconsin was doing...but they didn't.

Here was Beck's "gameplan"...outside zone 1st down, outside zone 2nd down, 40 yard bomb on 3rd.

Leaving TA in the game has not only chapped my hide it leaves me convinced HCBP has no clue how to truly operate a D1 program. You stood there all night bitching and moaning and watched your team circle the drain and did nothing to stop it. Yelling at a ref over a questionable out of bounds personal foul is not going to make a damn bit of difference when you can't move the damn ball. Watching you leave players in the game after they blew there assignment time after time convinced me your not the right man for the job at NU. You and your staff had two weeks to prepare for a decent team with no down field threat, one running back and a good defense. You unveiled your plan to the nation and FAILED, for that I hope your AD is flying home making calls and working towards removing you.

Until someone can explain why after all the years he has been here, all the players that have shuffled thru the story line is ALWAYS the same. Until that is explained and I can wrap my arms around the reasoning and I nod YES, I want him gone and the horse he rode into town on as well.
