Why did Tom Brady leave the Patriots? A souring relationship with Bill Belichick and other signs from the past

Disclaimer: I don't have a fave NFL team and I rarely watch any pro games so I really have no horse in this race.

That being said, Tom Brady should just retire. The dude is already the GOAT, is a 6 ?7? time Superbowl champion, and a guaranteed inductee into the Hall of Fame the second he's eligible. He has absolutely nothing to prove to anyone.

At this point, going to another team and continuing to play will most likely end badly for him. There's almost no upside in going to a different team. All he's doing now is risking a severe injury by continuing to play merely to satisfy his "I'm infallible" ego.

Bucs have some talent so I think Brady just wants to shove it in the Sweaty's face at least one time that he should have NEVER suggested trading him to San Fran 3 years ago (which got squashed by Kraft as soon as he found out - and Jimmy G had to go because Brady could not stand having the guy Sweaty wanted on the roster any more). Gotta love that drama - hate that fuels Brady - he has used the "you don't respect me" fuel his whole career. We'll see if it can fuel 1 or 2 more seasons in Tampa.

Heard a good rumor today - Matt Stafford to New England - that is the guy Kraft and Sweaty agree could do the job - just a question of if they can swing a reasonable trade with the Lions.

And assuming they can add some receivers that can get open.

How many INTs will Crab Legs throw from the bench?

Over/Under around 10 I predict

He cheated, and was caught, and tried to smash cell phones to hide his cheating. He might not be as bad as, say, a Roger Clemens type, I'm not sure, but I still have no use for him and will gleefully root against him.

He certainly didn't cooperate but that is not proof of guilt. Manning is a much bigger POS IMHO with he feeling up girls and exposing himself in the locker room. Not to mention he has dished on Nebraska even after we handed him his ass. Brady beating Manning made me happy therefore I am a fan.

The Patriots were caught red handed this last season illegally spying on the worst team in the NFL to try and gain an advantage, there's no reason to give that franchise the benefit of the doubt in anything. I'm sure Brady would also say the '97 Michigan team would have beaten Nebraska.

Living in Tampa for 12 years, I have tried hard to become a fan (grew up a Broncos fan though and still to this day)...but once they drafted Squinston, I completely lost interest.

Now they bring in Brady? No thanks. Have NEVER liked the guy. But what I cannot for the life of me figure out is why he would want to come here. I am sure Bruce Arians was somewhat of a draw for him...but this team is more than a Tom Brady away from being anywhere close to the playoffs...let alone a Superbowl.

The offensive line alone is going to get him killed. I would be somewhat surprised to see if he is healthy enough to play be the end of this year. Tampa's receivers are pretty good...although their real threat is the deep ball and I am just not sure that Tom's arm will be much use there anymore.

Tampa hasn't used the TE effectively for what seems years now and we don't really have intermediate receivers to speak of which is what I think Tom is going to need. They don't really have an Edelman or Welker types..which is what I think Tom really needs to be successful.

The Defense could be pretty salty again...if they can figure out how to retain Suh and assuming they can pick up where they left off at the end of last year...as they were trending up.

We'll see...but honestly...with Brady in town...and how much I dislike him...I am almost rooting against them. I do feel bad for LaVonte though...hopefully he can have yet another stand out year.
