Title Game

Cam Cignetti was hired 25 months ago. When he was hired, Indiana.was the worst team in the B10. 3-9. 8.months after he was hired, Indiana became a playoff team. 25 months later they are national champions. With less recruiting talent than Nebraska.

The idiots at NU gave a 30 million extension to a 7-6 coach with the easiest schedule in the B10.

Indiana hired masterpiece, and Nebraska hired a pile of Baby Poop.

That definitely was a fun game to watch but alas, the college football season is over. Always seems to me that it goes by way too fast.

Maybe next year will be a more fun season for us. Who knows?

Just got back from vacation, watched the highlights but Indiana proved defense wins championships they have done it all year long. A hell of a run for Indiana happy for them they truly deserved it

Mendoza and the IU team reminds me of our past Championship teams. They were humble, gracious, classy, they acknowledged their God (not to be preachy). Mendoza epitomized what a National Championship QB does to win. On his amazing run to the goal line, there WASN’T going to be a QB Slide. He took some vicious hits on that journey, and he prevailed.

I like the style of play for both teams and hope someday soon Nebraska can emulate how these teams plays. Nasty, slobberknocker football. Congrats to IU. Unfortunately Nebraska is still figuring out if we hired another Mike Riley.....or if Coach Rhule can get things righted. I suspect he'll get more patience than most coaches because he handles the PR side so well. I got a bad feeling about next season but I also have that eternal optimistic Husker fan in my head telling me it will be OK.....eventually.

Glad a B1G team won. We ARE in the preeminent conference.
If we had played in that wimpy SEC we prolly woulda won at least 10 games this year.

I really couldn`t understand Indys rise. The other night Dallas sports media mentioned MARK CUBANS team. I didn`t know he was an alum. Billionaires' own college teams now or maybe they always did. The Ducks were a push over until Knight took over.

You know the old saying, once a thug, always a thug.

And following up with that, Did you see the cheap shot that Fletcher, the Miami RB took on the IU lineman? Punched him right in the head after the game. Of course he still had his helmet on for his own protection when he did it...

Not at all surprising to me!
It was to me. I thought Indiana would blow the Canes out.

But time after time, Miami kept coming back after numerous Indiana plays that would have knocked the stuffing out of lesser teams--especially the Hoosers' blocked punt for a TD.

All the way up until the Hoosers' last minute interception, it looked to me like Miami was posed to come-from-behind to win in the final seconds.

As a life-long Miami hater, they earned a hell of a lot of respect from me last night.

Like Nebraska experienced on numerous occasions at the Orange Bowl, Indiana was playing 11 vs 16 all night long.

I have NEVER been a Miami fan — but the Canes showed a hell of a lot of heart throughout the second half.

I saw last night’s title game as AN OMEN!

If Indiana Football can win a Natty, so can Nebraska Basketball. They share the same formula.
Really great the Indiana team ripped open that heart n tore it out. The thugs deserve it. And while Im at it, I dont recall ever hearing any one declare Indiana the worst team in history until last night,

What was not surprising to me was the Canes player punching an Indiana linesman. I think we miscommunicated there.

While doing that post game is textbook Caines being thugs - supposedly an open mic caught the IU player say something about Fletcher's dead dad.....so he may have had a good reason to react. Either way - I'm sure his car traveling mom is very proud of him.

Miami (punks) never changes their spots, stripes. Mendoza was the recipient of three cheap shots in the first half and nothing was called, one was a helmet to the face. They should have looked at targeting or at the least, roughing the QB. After the game a Miami player threw a punch at an IU player. Then we have Carson Beck, he sulks and pouts off the field without shaking anybody’s hand even Mendoza. As a six year player winning two Championships at Georgia, you would think that he would have more maturity.

Some things never change. Not sure why Nebraska can never seem to get a coaching hire right. SMH.
