The more I read and hear about Leipold,

Funny how quickly Mel Tucker went from being an 'inspired hire' to 'on the hotseat'.
God ......just was corrected, IT'S WISCONSIN THAT'S CONCIEVABLY LOOKING AT LEIPOLD. Old age and bad hearing are the........

It's bad to repeat a rumor, but even worse to incorrectly repeat it. My sincere apologies.

Sadly, their fans still don't really care. It's all about basketball in KU land.

I'll respectfully disagree. He's kind of a big deal for Jayhawks in Lawrence and beyond. But they're pragmatic and understand reality, for the most part.

HE is not as hot as you would believe,,,we gave our game away to him last year as we did to MU too
Hence, the folly of drooling over one hit wonders. Which describes the media side of this coaching search and defines the previous one.

Good point. This is why Mickey has an uphill battle even if he pulls a rabbit out of his hat the next 8 games imo. I have a sneaking suspicion that Trev is going to want a larger breadth of experience than Mickey will provide.

We need Gary Wright, the Dream Weaver, on the search committee. With his experience he won't let this program fall prey to the one hit wonder.

I agree. In the 'new' Big XII -- with both Nebraska and Mizzou struggling -- they've taken advantage of their proximity to Kansas City in recruiting and are becoming genuinely competitive again.
I think he already has the job. Trev us not waiting till the end of the season to lock his guy down.

Yep, the KU fans I know are excited about football again. They want a good program and kick KSU's ass in football. They got their guy, now they just gotta hold onto him.
Don't you think a big fat pay raise and buyout would be offered.
