Ha ha, PD. If some fans want to question the legitimacy of our sellout streak, the same could be said about my streak.Another streak I hope will never be broken-

Back in my day, we just called them hotdogs. To the point of your post though, 83 in what, 10 minutes?![]()
I don't care how much time allowed. No way I'm eating 83 in 1 sitting.
100% the streak is over if Matt Rhule is still the coach next week. Fixed that for you100% the streak is over if Matt Rhule is still the coach next season.
Rhule needs to go. He's not a good coach. Trev screwed us hiring him.100% the streak is over if Matt Rhule is still the coach next week. Fixed that for you
You just said its been going on since back in the day so why is it different now? It might be in trouble just because of the coaching we currently have. They’re saying, once again, the sellout streak is in jeopardy. It seems like about this time every year this comes up! I just wonder is it really even still alive and do we all really even care about it anymore?
Year by year back in the day, when the tickets didn’t sell our corporate partners would buy the leftovers and give them to their employees and their families and/or donate them. As of late when they don’t sell they sell them to ticket brokers for pennies on the dollar.
I mean it’s a nice thing to hear being mentioned on every home game broadcast but is it something we still care about when we can’t even compete for conference titles? Do we even believe it’s a real thing when we know corporate partners and ticket brokers have helped keep it going? Is it really important considering there’s probably little chance anyone ever breaks the existing sellout streak?
All that said, between you and me, I am not sure it’s a real thing anyway considering my first game ever (UCLA 1983) I got in with a group or 4-5 people and we had one ticket!
I don't think anyone in Husker land would be stupid enough to hire Deion. He's a clown, no two ways about it and an egotistical clown at that. I'm with 84. I'll be absolutely done with the Huskers if Neon Deion is hired. If we hire Dion I will be done with HUSKER football. Will never watch another game. And you want to hire Napier? He bombed at Florida. The state with one of the highest recruiting areas and you want to hire him? No thanks. I think Hunch is right and we look south to Eck. He might be able to keep Aurich around and Geep too. And if Aurich is retained maybe we keep most of the defensive staff together which probably keeps most of the players together.
My biggest concern is Eck may very well end up at Colorado after they dismiss Dion. The new AD at Colorado is Fernando Lovo. Lovo was the AD that hired Eck at New Mexico. Eck worked with Aurich in the past. Would absolutely love to see the two of them in Lincoln!.If we hire Dion I will be done with HUSKER football. Will never watch another game. Sorry, but the notion that anybody at NU would hire Sanders is absurd. Why did Trev Albers hire this guy? The numbers were there when he hired him. His record at Carolina was abysmal. Fish or cut bait, Rhule has to go and the sooner the better. I dont know how to figure out to cut the buyout, but the university has lawyers.
Where do we go from here, straight to James Madison, that coach is 8-2 right now, but more likely to Boulder, I hear Dion is gonna be fired, the choice is ours and with our leadership you know who Dannon will pick.
Are you living in or visiting Thailand?Scott Shanle looking like a genius. I wasn't happy with him going publicly negative after the hire was made - and still feel that way. But I'd run the next hire by him first, just saying...
By the way, just want to say I appreciate being able to see this forum today from Thailand. Getting by the IP filters has been a bit if a challenge. If you don't see me around, I'm probably just blocked. (Or Held, if I'm pretending to be an Illinois DL)
There is hardly an eyelash difference between our last 3 hire and Sanders. Of course it absurd, but those hires were tooSorry, but the notion that anybody at NU would hire Sanders is absurd.

We are on an extended 4 month visit here, and building a home in Hua Hin. (Right now set to be a part time home, but that could change). Are you living in or visiting Thailand?
