Super Official Nebraska vs The Other Guys Game Thread.

Actually, Nebraska impressed me today. I mean we have the dumbest QB, OL, and Special Team in all of college football, but our Defense, WRs, RBs, and TE are really good.
We do not have the dumbest QB. Adrian played well today. Took sacks instead of doing too much. Made some great throws. Not his fault the O-line didn't play great and receivers didn't get open more.

I’m not happy anytime we lose. Especially since victory was there for the taking.

It was. I honestly thought Nebraska had no shot to even keep it close. But as "feel good" about keeping it close as I am, really starting to lose patience with the excrement show we see week after week with the OL and Special Teams.

I don't think anybody is happy with the loss, especially since we should have won the damn thing.

I think folks are just trying to take the best from a game we were supposed to lose by 21+ and there's nothing wrong with that.

I want a team that beats top 5 teams on the road. We were close today. Still a lot of issues that need fixed.

If we are truly progressing, we should win next week.

Agree. The O-line is young, but they weren't brought in to not be able to play. I wonder if Teddy starts soon.

There were several plays:

1) AM was running the ball and if he would have cut outside, there was room to run. Instead, he cut it back inside where the OU defense was.

2) The overthrows remain a consistent problem.

So maybe saying we have the dumbest QB in all of college football isn't entirely true. Okay. I will walk back that comment. But it is also true that this team causes 99% of their own mistakes.

I'll give him a pass on a cutback in the heat of the moment. I didn't notice overthrows when he wasn't pressured today. Rattler had some way worse misses. But, yes, our self-induced mistakes are absolute baffling. Even the commentators were talking about our one step forward, one step back approach.

[only one]* turnover. He's trying hard to improve, fwiw

*Thanks, sunshine
I don't blame the int on AM. I blame it on the kicking game. In truth that int was the second best thing that could have happened for that situation. It was also a one handed grab. It certainly wasn't a gift.

AM played well enough to win against the #3 team in the nation. The kicking game cost them 11 points today, that was the difference.
