Excuse me, justino52, but I've gotta vent on this one...

Where were you in GAME 5 of FROST's SEASON 4 (ahem, following three straight losing seasons I might add) when our idiotic coaching staff BLEW a sure-fire win on the road to Sparty in OT to go 2-3 and 0-2 in the B1G.

If THAT --- plus SIX STRAIGHT LOSSES TO END THE SEASON --- wasn't enough to "determine the fate of Scott Frost," someone please tell me what the hell would have??!??!

How close Nebraska's game with Michigan State is will be determined by Nebraska's run defense.

If Michigan State can run the ball consistently, this game will be very close and they could win because off of their run game, comes the RPO, QB run, and play action games.

However, if Nebraska's run defense is stout, the Huskers will not only win, but could win going away.

Nebraska's rush defense is literally the key to our entire season and how successful (or not) we are. The better the run D, the better we'll be. The worse the run D, the worse we'll be.

Regarding the Guess the Score thread- I think someone will have the exact score for once. I think we have it surrounded.
 
Five minutes to go in the game with Indiana ahead of Northwestern 22-20 at home. FYI, I'm cheering for Indiana.

EDIT: Update: Indiana survives 29 to 23. Announcers said they've got Rutgers and Nebraska before their BIG ONE against Ohio State.

I want to amend what I said before the season. Oregon and Indiana are not the teams this year, that they were last year.

I watched most of the Indiana vs Northwestern game and Indiana is a shell of what they were last year. Their QB and WRs are so overrated. If Nebraska shows against Michigan State that they can stop the run, they'll have a shot at winning every game except probably Ohio State.

But as I said previously, the entire key to Nebraska's W/L record is our run defense. If we excel at stopping the run we're going to be tough to beat. If we can't stop the run, like last season, then we're in for more disappointment.
 
This is the biggest game so far in Matt Rhule's time at Nebraska. If we lose, the fan's perception of Rhule becomes....

Oh Dear God, he reminds me so much of Herb Tarlek in that picture. Would you buy a used car from that man? Nope, not me. But I'm not much for used cars so there's that!
