Super Official Nebraska vs Bowling Green Game Week Thread

I'll be darned, Oregon is losing near the end of the 3rd quarter tp a crappy-ass Okie State team that couldn't beat Tulsa last week.
Wild game so far. Weather delay, Okie Lite moving the ball at will and only a couple of tip-drill INTs keeping Oregon from getting their asses beat by a REAL bad team.

Before the season started, I estimated that Nebraska's chance to win in Eugene was about 1%.

Based on what I have seen of Oregon in their first two games, I now give Nebraska about a 20% chance to win.

Wow, Oregon is f***ed. 39-31 will be the final. Just imagine what mighty Tulsa would do to this Oregon team.

I think this is a prime example of why as a B1G team, you keep your OOC slate to the Akrons of the college football world. Also, I think this is a case of Oregon hearing about how great they are all off-season and they went into this season thinking all they had to do was show up and they'd just steamroll everyone.

This is why the games are played and not simulated on paper or in a computer. And my gawd, if Oklahoma State has the players to physically match up with Oregon, then I would hope beyond hope that Nebraska does as well. (You know, this being Matt Rhule's best roster yet.)

Okie Lite is the first team with a 10+ game losing streak to beat a Top 10 team in the history of college football. Their losing streak against FBS programs was 21. Oregon beat Ok State last year 69-3. I'm pretty sure Oregon felt more comfortable playing the Cowboys today than they would Akron. :D

No need to worry about the Huskers 84. I think tonight's score can be as brutal as Rhule allows it to be. Get through the first half with no major injuries and a 3 or 4 TD lead and lets empty the bench so everyone gets some playing time.

I really hope that we see dynamic special teams and the Blackshirts creating turnovers
Absolutely!!!!

not a great day for the B1G
Purdue
Minnesota
Oregon
Rutgers
Illinois
so far

Ohio State's loss was to the #4 team and on the road. Purdue, Rutgers, Illinois, and Minnesota basically lost to roughly = competition. Oregon's loss though, was by far the most embarrassing.

Ryand Day blew that big time. He used 2 timeouts and allowed Texas to use up most of the clock getting their TD. The odds of you keeping them out of the end zone are not good; let 'em score, you got a minute+ and two TO's to try to get in field goal range, which was all OState needed to win the game. Real bad coaching decisions there IMO.
