Super Official Huskers Duck Hunt Game Week Thread

His decision to go for it on 4th and 9 with I believe about 6 minutes left - on our side of the 50 - was pretty indefensible. That is a very low conversion percentage and we are lucky IU didn't tack on 3 more points or run out more clock. D held and we got the ball back with 3 minutes left in the game. If we punt and the D holds - we gain about 20-25 yards of field position - which could have been huge given the time remaining.......

I wouldn't put much money on that. He took a very vicious hit and had a sever concussion. They are going to be very careful with him on this one. He may be back but I wouldn't bet the farm.
I would hope they err on the side of caution. Frankly, I wish we weren't even playing the damn ducks this year as the whole DR drama is an unnecessary distraction. However, it could be a great motivator rather than a distractor. Hopefully last week was just a down week and we come back with a vengeance against the ducks!

There has been speculation with Oregon out of the playoffs with 2 losses - Moore will not be back this year and will focus on the draft. He's not a prototypical NFL QB but based on what he's done so far he will get drafted by somebody.

Before his injury he was projected to be a first round pick and the #1 QB in the next draft.

I believe that to be true, he wont be the first QB to make the mistake of going out on top, you know Lanning had something to do with his sticking around
As did a pretty fat NIL deal. Keep in mind QBs are capped pretty hard even in the first round of the NFL draft under the current CBA - part of the reason the Vikings took JJM so high was they wanted to go cheap at QB and spend on the roster around him. Didn't work out as hoped - but they are only paying Kyler Murray $1M this season because the Cardinals are paying the rest of the his contract. It creates the ability for Universities with big NIL pools to keep high draft pick QBs around longer than they would have 5 years ago.
