When I see things like that, I always wonder whether it is real. I do not watch ESPN for anything but live sports, so I am not sure.
My biggest disappointment, other than our first half of play, was that we didnt put TJ in when the game was in hand. I have no clue why we didn't. Very disappointed about that.
Naw, the coaches -- and the vast majority of the fans -- know who's QB1. There was zero QB controversy in camp.Perhaps Rhule is trying to avoid sparking a QB controversy so early in the season. I do think we need to get at least the #2 QB some live snaps before we get into conference play.

Colandrea was playing his first game as a Husker. I saw no reason not to give him more live, Red Zone experience with our offense. With Bowling Green and North Dakota coming up, there will be plenty of PT available for back-ups coming up.
Even Wilson has said Colandrea is the clear-cut QB1.For some reason Wilson Dittman has been TJ's #1 fan all offseason. I know he is not popular but occasionally he does get a scoop that turns out to be true. Not sure what he has been hearing or what his agenda is.
I've been wondering about that.I remember back when the fall camp buzz was that Joey Ganz was clearly better than Sam Keller yet BC started Keller anyway. This time around nobody was whispering that TJ was better than Colandrea in fall camp--in fact, it was the exact opposite. I heard the gap between AC and TJ was much larger than the gap between TJ and Danny.
With Colandrea getting a fifth year of eligibility, my prediction is that TJ hits the portal at the end of the season.

Speaking of Dittman, he's been saying since last Spring that Owen Chambliss has been suffering from a lingering turf toe injury. Apparently, that's still what's keeping him off the field.
Dude threw for 275 and ALOT of it was RAC - it should have been well over 300 if Barney hadn't called for a PF on the long TD (which WAS NOT a penalty).
Aurich and Rhule both said it was a lingering hamstring issue.
Maybe the kid in the costume was already on the verge of passing out and wanted to get the giant Herbie head off to breathe but kept getting asked for pictures![]()

I don't actually believe my theory. I think it's just bad costume design leading to the material bunching.Unfortunately...that's the job. People with "jobs" don't get to pick and choose what part of their job they don't want to do.. The Herbie guy/gal should know going in what the job entails.

I had been concerned that Chambliss still hadn't fully recovered from a turf toe injury suffered at the end of last season. But word was it was: a) his hamstring; and b) minor so the thinking is that he's going to play Saturday.Any clarity at this point? T-toe vs. hammie = big, big difference in recovery, and resolution
