It also could be a way to potentially save face. Leadership can come out and say, hey we're going to do this later in the yea bearing what the pandemic looks like. If they play, they don't look as bad. If they can't play, they can say, hey we tried to make it work.

I'm tellin ya this is a save face move.....cover thine own butt and do some fast smoothing over and under rug sweeping....and.....my only hope is the lawyers that the players hired have enough Barracuda or Pit Bull in them to not let go till we get an explanation...see my thoughts (and most of my teammates) are they are doing the backstroke to save face for being so freaking stupid....

Sure your going to have some instances of infection and the fast test response is just more smoke and mirrors in an effort to divert attention from how monumentally wrong what was done really was....I seriously hope this winds up costing several people their positions including Warren.....
There is just no way I can see where or how he is going to deflect the blame.....it might and more than likely will wind up dragging several down with him....there is I'm afraid way more ill advised poor judgement involved than anyone knows.
One way to tell if a settlement is reached between the Commish and players and we never hear the truth...

Sounds like Athletic Directors doing Athletic Director things. Maybe if they were included in the first round of this debacle they wouldn't be doing things now. I know people see it as saving football. They are really trying to save their departments and in return themselves. Some AD's will lose their jobs in the next few years because of the pandemic and their response.

Virus is potentially fatal but so is a bad tackle, charter bus, Airplane, driving a car, etc. Most dangerous thing I do daily is drive 20 miles on I-10 in a Ford Focus( good on gas and why rack up miles on my Sierra? )

Its no coincidence that this happened the day after a judge didn't dismiss a case that would require the to produce documents. Monday they will file a brief laying out a November start schedule along with a request to dismiss. Awfully convenient, isnt it?

The start date soon after November 3 just adds more fuel to the conspiracy theories. It's really hard to imagine how the B1G could be handling this any worse than what we see here.
