Season to start around Thanksgiving???

The longer that the powers-that-be take to come up with a decision on this the more the conference becomes a bigger laughing stock than it already is.
My read on the situation is the same as SOC's. So the longer the wait, the better the odds that we may still see some football this fall.

It says they're still at work trying to get the numbers.

But anonymous sources have shared conflicting theories to various media outlets about how things might play out. So what time is kickoff?

I read somewhere we are either all playing FB in the B1G or no one is! Sounds like Rutgers, Michigan, MSU and Minny are going to screw this up for all of us! These F'in guys!

I'll be surprised if we have a season this year or next. I'll be surprised if they play without Michigan or Michigan St.

It was University of Wisconsin Chancellor Rebecca Blank. She said the league would "move together" on a decision to play this fall. All programs will play, or all won't.

So, if Rutgers, for example, doesn't want to play, the rest of the B1G won't play. That's a bunch of crap.

This is why the FOIA requests and our players lawsuit are so important. If the conference bylaws allow 1 school to cancel the season for all members, we have an issue that won't go over well. On the flip side, if the bylaws don't support that and we still don't play, then we have to discuss damages and remediation.

Ding ding ding....Wisky wins again.....Jimmy crickets she sounds like ****************. This is not a jury trial.

Same hold outs as last time. Minority ruling over thrice as many majority at the moment.

I realize it comes down to the league bylaws... However, if this is true, then it means that a majority of the schools voted to cancel the fall season in August and the dissenters had to go along and NOT play sports. Now, the majority could want to start fall sports again in October, but the dissenters can refuse to play and it it shuts everything down?

How could that be right? Doesn't the entire league have to go with the majority?? That's what I heard in August when Nebraska said they were going to pursue opportunities to play football this fall.

Yes, it all comes down to the actual bylaws. I like the BigTen, but at the same time, this is just embarrassing for the commissioner and conference leadership as a whole.

Heard on hot mic, University of Nebraska president says Big Ten announcement comes tonight

During small talk prior to the start of a news conference Tuesday morning, University of Nebraska President Ted Carter says an announcement of the Husker football season will come Tuesday afternoon or evening.

"We're getting ready to announce the Huskers and Big Ten football tonight", said Carter in a conversation with Bob Hinson, director of the National Strategic Research Institute.

The two were at a podium, just moments prior to a news conference in Lincoln.

KETV NewsWatch 7 is reaching out to the University of Nebraska and the Big Ten for further information.

Ohio State better side with Nebraska on every conference vote from now to the end of time - or the end of the pandemic anyway.

Mitch Sherman: Ted Carter has a special place in this Big Ten saga. First his email to Kevin Warren, from an account Carter knew was open to public exposure, reminding the commish that “you work for us.” Now this. Carter needs to actually drop a mic at midfield before Nebraska’s first kickoff.
The ironic thing about it is that Ted Carter really has no business inserting himself in the B1G discussions to begin with. He's the SYSTEM President and the B1G is specifically tied to UNL, not the System. Ronnie Green is Nebraska's B1G Chancellor/President rep.
