Scott Frost, you need a new defensive coordinator

I know the issues with personnel, bad linebackers, nobody gets pass rush, etc, but the issue that keeps coming up is what other coaches keep saying post game - they always know what defensive calls we will make in certain situations and they call plays according to that and they always work. That is why we are unable to close games out with wins.

Scott Frost, I have no worries about the offense and the future on that side, but you can't keep going into games with the other team always knowing what your defensive coordinator is going to call and always winning against your D in those situations. You will not be able turn these games into wins, they will continue to end up in losses.

Eat the pride coach and fire your defensive coordinator and make sure you make a good hire. We need stability in this program so be smart and hire a good one.
 
OK, and let's fire the Offensive Coordinator for all the wide-open plays that netted nothing today. Let's fire Frost for failing to take a time out on that final fourth-down play.

Nebraska has become "You're Fired U" and it's the reason we can't get any consistency with much of anything. Constant turmoil and transition "will continue to end up in losses."

Enough already!

I agree...This program needs continuity really bad. Firing anyone at this point is not the answer.
 
I'm not necessarily a Chins fan but I'm taking the long road, which means being patient until all of the Pelini/Riley recruits are out of the program. If we still can't cut the mustard on "D" at that point, then I'm all for making changes. Meanwhile, I'm agreeing with Huusker and NebSailor that cooler heads need to prevail and let us have some continuity for God's sake

Nobody needs to go on O. We will be fine on that side of the ball. The D needs to be addressed though if Frost is going to win.

We need to calm down and let Chins have a couple of years with Frost and Frost only recruits. The very last thing we need is to start firing coordinators or coaches.

It's not pretty and it sucks, but it is imperative that we get some continuity going within the program.

Besides all of that, Frost is NOT going to fire Chins. He's all about "keeping the band together" - remember the excellence fund that was started by him at UCF. That's what that was all about.

At this point, it's another lost season. I don't have a problem with "firing" the entitled players who don't put forth max effort, even if it means we lose 58-7 to Wisconsin rather than 31-7.

Get the young players some experience and send a message to the entitled ones. Nothing left to lose now.

Frost is in denial. For all the things he bashed the previous staff about, we are seeing the exact same things from his staff. Exhibit A - continuing to play a QB that isn't getting it done. Look at college football around the country. Coaches are constantly pulling ineffective starters in an effort to spark the team. Frost won't do it. He won't fire coaches mid season. He won't sit players that obviously are attempting to throw games. I watch other games and see players everywhere giving full effort. not here. I see first year coaches with allegedly less to work with, getting it done. Not here. No one in this program gives a damn.

The job is too big for Scott Fraud and his staff...you can get away with mediocracy at UCF but here NO especially when its the same ol same ol week in week out with teams allegedly worse that us.

Whoa! There's a big difference between giving a mediocre effort and attempting to throw games. The end result might be similar, but c'mon...do you really believe these players are point-shaving? That's quite an accusation.

I know everyone is upset, but get a grip. If you have evidence -- beyond poor effort -- that these players are throwing games, please enlighten us with facts.

I'm not sure what you are watching, but the Offense isn't functioning the best either. The Defense handed the ball to the Offense in the 1st half and the Offense squandered multiple opportunities to score. It seems Adrian Martinez is the anointed one, and Frost will leave him in no matter how tentative he is, or how many plays he misses. They pull Mills last week for missing one block that was costly, and they will leave AM in after he continues to leave plays on the field. I think Vedral has been more decisive on his RPO plays on the edge, and in general runs the Offense better. The play calling in the red zone is a real head scratcher. The tight ends are open, underneath routes are open, but AM repeatedly misses them or has an errant throw. If I'm Vedral and McCaffrey, I gotta be thinking "what the hell does it take for me to get a fair shot at the qB job?", because Frost & Walters seem to have a different standard for AM than the rest of the players...And, I have been on teams where player favoritism (perceived or real) can rip apart a team and undermine respect for the coaches. Let's hope we don't see that happen here.
I do believe the O lineman that are reshirting will improve the Offense next year, but even with good protection AM is missing wide open receivers, and he won't even run when he has 15 yards of open field when it's 4th and 5. I'm still not calling for any firings until after next year at the earliest, but damn, there are some real concerns about whether or not Frost and his staff are putting our guys in the best potion to succeed....

Firing a HEAD coach is something we have to stop, the assistants are a different story!!

Here is what I don't like... Frost is demanding his players give their all, but he continues to play a player that clearly has something going on mentally, and is really hurting this team!
 
In the post game presser Frost said something that got my attention. He said I was brought here to turn this around and he is going to do that.. if some are not here to help make that happen then so be it.. Sounds like he is willing to make the tough decisions.

You need to accept reality. As painful as it may be. The effort is criminal by many players. Something suspicious is going on.
