Scott Frost back in Coaching Saddle.

Yeah, I apologize for dredging up this sadsack thread yet again but I felt compelled to report back after watching a condensed version of Week One's UCF vs Jacksonville State game. FYI, Jacksonville State moved up from FCS this season to be UCF's sacrificial lamb.

This may come as a shocker given Frost's first games at DONU, but the Knights played HORRIBLE. It was 0-0 at the half. With 10 minutes left in the game, UCF trailed 10 to 3. With the game winding down in a 10-10 tie, the Knights stopped JSU on a fourth and inches from deep in UCF territory. Then with 1:03 left, one of the Knights' receivers got behind Jax State's secondary for a long TD to win the game. In his post-game presser, Frost told reporters that he 'just had' to kick things off by emphasizing once again how happy he is to be back at UCF. Ooookay, glad to hear it, Scott.

I will make the fearless prediction right here and right now that UCF will have a really tough time winning a game in the Big XII this fall.

Yup. SF is going to find out he is not a college level coach, in any conference.

Defection or defacation?
Probably defecation. Funny, when I read that post, I read as defecation, not defection. I read somewhere that is true more often than not people subconsciously read as the post was intended. Strange how that can work.

OMG -

I had hoped that we had put all talk of --it and colonoscopies behind us.

But no, just when I thought I had gotten out, you pull me back in.

Ah, love those flicks. Though I always think Godfather II was the best.

After the game, he probably went out and celebrated with and “mentored” with some sorority sisters.

I'm really curious which coach is going to find more success in the Big12 returning to their old team, Rich Rod at WVU or Frost at UCF. Right now I'm going to take the under.

West Virginia lost to Ohio today while UCF beat up North Carolina A&T. But if I had to choose right now, I'd go with Rich Rod.
Ohio has been playing pretty good ball since Solich left. They have over 10 wins the last three years.
