Schedulla Oblongata

With all due respect, SCV, I don't consider the New Mexico teams to be cupcakes.

They're more like Hostess Twinkies. Their soft creamy-ness is on the inside. :)
We'll see. Nebraska and New Mexico have 2 common opponents this year. Lobos came within a whisker of upsetting Michigan in the big house, and they are gonna pound the sand out of UCLA ass tonight. Let's see how the Huskers do.

New Mexico 35 UCLA 10 -- and it should have been much worse (the Lobos lost 2 fourth downs inside the Bruins' 5 yard line and made some horrendous ST mistakes.

UCLA folks is BAD.

I'll say it like this. The proportion for which the Lobo pes met the posterior of the Bruins was, shall we say, epic.

Still, why do I feel you are bedowngrading the Lobo performance with your emphasis on how bad UCLA played? Like Nebraska, the Lobos are a very well coached team with one of the most innovative OC's in the country.

No-No-No! Hunch! I was very impressed with the Lobos. If they'd have played clean, they'd have laid a Nebraska vs Akron-style beatdown on the Bruins. The Lobos still destroyed the Bruins on the road while committing something like FIVE turnovers!

I agree. I think Nebraska should play 1 premiere out of conference team every year. The strength of the B1G can ebb and flow from year to year, as can the schedule we play. So yeah, we should be playing 1 opponent from any of the following conferences each season: SEC, Big 12, or Pac 12.

We're Nebraska and we shouldn't be "ducking" anyone.

No, let's play the cupcakes. Better chance of making the playoffs with a 10-2 record than 9-3. And it would be a considerable difference maker in recruiting. Let's play the tough games at the end of the season in the playoffs instead of the beginning of the season and risking not making the playoffs.
