Thanks for your insights Doc.
* Championship teams are champions because they Expect to Win. We pay lip service to that, and say we are confident, but in reality deep down we have that expectation that things will go sideways in a game, and we are consistent in that self fulfilling prophecy.
* There are at least 10 high school kickers in Nebraska that could out perform ours, I believe we are somewhere around 5/11 in FGs this year. This reminds me of the lousy STs that Rhule had his first two years.
* Teams that win make the plays, an example are the last few opponents making great catches to win the game, our receivers also had opportunities to make plays, but we fell short a number of times. Receivers are not to blame, just one example how whole team fell short like mental penalties, poor throws, missed blocks, kicks, missed tackle, missed defensive assignment, etc.
* Anyway, we are seriously lacking as a whole team in making the “Play” during crunch time, and that my friends is why we are 5-4 and hurtling toward another mediocre season.

no argument from me. Also we had been moving the ball by running it and what do they do? Go away from it. Heck we went for it on 4th and 1. Both Rule and Mozee averaged 5 yards per carry. Pretty simple right? Run the ball and pickup the 1st down. Yeah no. Throw it and throw way over the receivers head. Just mind boggling stupid coaching.
Or at least if you are going to pass why don't we do what Texas did to us in the 96 B12 CCG and Indiana did to us earlier this year, line up in a goal line/power formation like we are going to run and then slip a receiver behind everyone. I don't think I have ever seen Nebraska attempt that play. Rhule saw it first hand you think he would take notes.
