Gotta get supper going, but had to respond to this one. I did post an actual picture of myself, long about May 29th. And as far as Mrs. Cougar, that would be Ms Cougar to y'all. I always think that Mrs. Cougar was my late MIL. I've used Ms my entire adult life and, yes, that's getting to be quite a few years, which I'm down with!

Seriously, thanks for all the good wishes. Not a bad day. Got a lot of quilting done on my customer project, had a great meal and one of our neighbors brought over a birthday cake early in the afternoon so I got to eat dessert before supper. If that's not a great birthday present in itself, I don't know what is!

Me neither. It's just numbers to me. I work out every single day and I'm still doing the same workouts I did when I was half this age. Mentally I feel great. I may grow older, but damned if I'm gonna grow up.

Damn right! I do 40 minutes of step aerobics, walk our two dogs 4 miles total, do a bit of yoga, the garden, up and down stairs. Never knew I could have so much energy. Mentally, no different than my 30's, near as I can tell. So, yeah, hitting 70 doesn't bother me in the least. I don't feel any different than I felt last week or last year. Growing up is for sissies!

Thanks everyone for your birthday wishes. It was a pretty good day, all in all. Got out in the garden early and harvested the last of the corn. Saved 2 ears for supper and blanched and flash froze the rest for eating this winter. Spent most of the remainder of the day working on my customer's quilt. One of our neighbors brought over a chocolate cake to help us celebrate. Broiled a thick cut chop and served it with the corn that I saved for that very purpose. Our evening's entertainment was watching "Animal House". It's been years since we had last watched it and it's just such a hilarious movie.

Here's the customer baby quilt. Quilting is finished so I'll start sewing the binding around the raw edges this afternoon, I promised customer I would have the quilt for her NLT Friday. I hope to be done Thursday, barring unforeseen crises. I'm planning on putting my quilt that I can't seem to get quilted back under my quilting machine when I go back downstairs to Sew and Sew this afternoon.
