Nebraska/Minnesota opening line

That's what I refer to as my split personality. One hand wants to believe the hype and the other hand says, "Man, we been hearing that schit for almost 4 years now" and so I don't know what to believe.

Right now, I'm trying to keep the faith but when the losses pile up, I go "mmm-hmmmm".

I think I keep telling myself that things are getting better, because: a) all of our losses have been really close, and b) we are [for the most part] playing really well. And that is what, I think, separates this time from others in the past--that's why I think this time it is real. But that little voice I keep hearing, who sounds like Harley Quinn, keeps saying, "It's not going to happen, puddin'."

Since this is the betting line thread thought I would share my plays this week. I don't trust Nebraska on the road but I thought the 2.5 spread was a bit low. Not saying the Huskers are going to cover but I was thinking the line would move in Huskers favor. Tuesday I bet a quarter on the Huskers giving the 2.5. My old man was at the casino today and said the Huskers were favored by 4 now. I guessed right. Went back this evening and put a quarter on Minnesota getting 4. Don't have a real good feel for the game either way but if the Huskers win by a field goal I just made an easy $50. If they win by exactly 4 I win the Husker bet and break even on the Gopher bet. If Nebraska wins by more than 4 or Minnesota wins I break even and lose only the vig ($5). Any time you can guess that a line will straddle 3 points from early in the week to kickoff, it's a great time to hedge a bet.

Huskers 27-24...or 24-21...or 30-27...any 3 point Husker victory makes me a double winner this week!

The only way this game is close is if Martinez turns the ball over 5 times.

Minnesota cannot cover our receivers.
