Wow---Jeremy Pernell is no local-yokal 'oohing and awing' over the home team's new recruits. Pernell is the 'Real Deal' when it comes to CFB recruiting. His analysis, while tempered, is quite optimistic.

pass the kool-aid

It's hard not to have a sip when you read something this glowing from a veteran recruiting pundit like Pernell.

I can sense where Pernell is at but neither Banks or Dowdell bring a bucket full of offense with them. Wake Forest is a loser team for sure and maybe Banks has some experience there but I put money on Coleman and Lloyd. The new recruits will add depth and challenge them. Dowdell does not have huge numbers either the existing I back for me is Emmet Johnson. That said Rhule had a hell of recruitment for his really first class. Im reminded of Kevin Costner in the movie Draft Day. He got what he wanted in an unorthodox way but he got er done.

I loved that movie.

Nobody coming in is given anything. I just like the idea of a between-the-tackles bull RB. I'm just not convinced that Gabe is the answer. If Dowdell signs, we'll see how their competition goes.
